lol.. not a trace of wood in these mods... i keep paints / stains and dyes fare from my wood.....lol
these are all plastic....

wowOwow! i can't believe those are plastic! are you starting with a block of plastic and milling??? (i don't know if that is the correct term) those are great!
and
the really fine thing is that you found a medium to experiment with your painting talents ;-) the speckles are just fun to look at.

Just wanted to pop-in and apologize for my absence. Sister and twin nephews have been visiting. Showed up a day early and were supposed to be gone on Sunday....they're still here. I'm throwing their asses in the car tomorrow even if it involves duct tape and cattle prods!
...

ah yes, the 'relative' vacations - i know them well --- but not this year!

i do start with blocks and "mill" them from there... i wanted some thing that was "paint grade" what i was able to come up with was so much more..... im blown away with just how much i like these mods... i have some more cool stuff coming to play with this material..... so i will keep you all posted..... i like it because the "turn around" is slightly faster than wood. due to the fact that they are subject to shorter drying times though out the building proses.... not to mention i have zero fear of injuring one at work.. this stuff is tuff.........
don't mistake what i have said... im a wood guy at hart and by nature...... i just wanted to jump in and try some thing else.. i know not everyone has a passion for wood as i do.... and alot of other materials are not as appealing to me as this..
so this is what i was able to come up with.....

Oh yeah.....forgot to ask you about the pickle jars.....

Found a need for a mod recently that doesn't exist....yet. A waterproof one. Sucks being at a water park and not being able to carry your PV with you. Have a few ideas already.

MT wow lol everyone is up for their morning joe today im not used to seeing anyone speak here til way later.

but on the waterproof thing, I actually did one of those. I noticed cases for cellphones/cameras that are waterproof. So i got one of those openned it up, put in my ego battery drilled a hole, put a rubber piece around the hole and fit in my ce2. The ce2 was the only thing that got wet when I was in atlantic city water park but still worked
