Hey all I'm new around here, I could use a little help. I am a bit different then most people here in what my goal is.

Some back ground, thirty years ago I was a tobacco chewer from a small town, I moved up to snuff later and then to cig's and for along time did both. Seven years ago me and my wife bought a new home and we both decided to stop smoking.

I tried everything you can think of, patches, gum etc. In the end I did stop smoking but never could stop dipping I just can not seem to give up nicotine.

Fast forward to now. I really really want to give up tobacco all together. I have tried a lot of the different gas station ecigs and

while they do help they just don't give me enough to satisfy my craving. And most I have tried only have a short battery life the

way I use them. A $10 blu dis. only last me a day at most. And it's the best thing I have so far tried.

I am honestly overwhelmed with all the vapor options, I really need to find something that will work for me.

I work long hours and I'm driving around town a lot in my job which is stressful. I need something small enough to carry around Strong enough to satisfy my craving and that will last a twelve hour day. I was a two pack a day smoker plus dipping.

Now I am using ecig's. and dipping ever chance I get. Any help for me? or am I a lost cause just waiting for mouth cancer?

Nah, you're fine Zach. You need better hardware and probably some better juices, but you're on the right track.

An eGo, and if you could find the ones with the 1000mAh battery, would be a good start. Long battery life and the 510/eGo threads accept most popular cartomizers, clearomizers, and atomizers. I'm not a fan of the C or T type atomizers that are common in eGo starter kits. I'm not even a fan of cartomizers, but I think they would work best for you starting out since you drive a bit for work and being able to fill a few cartomizers to screw in as you go about your day seems reasonable.

Next is getting a number of small bottles of juice to fill the cartomizers with. A number of different flavors and nicotine levels so you can find what works the best for you. (That will need a selection of cartomizers too since newbies tend to be harder on them than most and running out is a pain.)

zack i wouldnt call you a lost cause as there is many options out there that can work better. those gas station ecigs are made simply so people can try them. I was never impressed with them as far as out put or battery life.

what i would normally recommend to a fellow 2 pack a day smoker is volcanoecigs.com inferno kit. it comes with 2 batteries that will last all day and can even be plugged in to a mini car charger to allow charging and vaping at the same time. along with the kit is a dual coil cartomizer(dcc) tank with 6 cartomizers. each one last me between a week and a month of pretty much non stop vaping. and a 15 ml bottle of juice(you may want to grab a few extras as the normal usage of some people is some where around 3-5ml's a day, i average 10ml's a day but vape non stop when im awake.

i have tried other setups with smaller sizes and none really kept up with me. the inferno is a ego clone, all the clones are about the size of a sharpie. best of luck on getting to where you want/need to be!

I'm new to ecigs myself and even at 1 - 1 1/2 packs per day plus I was also a snuff fan, McChrystals, Toque, etc., I've quit tobacco altogether in month 1.

I got 2 Leo Pro's which both last all day (I switch back and forth). I got rid of the tanks that came with it, they were quite anemic feeling to me. I've tried several devices, got to the clearomizers and liked those. Tried many liquids, actually found 24mg too high, since I was hitting it all day long. Cut the nicotine down to 12mg and just vape it near constant. Good luck to you, try a bunch of stuff until you find your match.

I find myself running of a titan super automatic battery, and a dual coil tank that hold 6ML, which is just portable enough for car use, and if you don't mind carrying it, even more portable. Personally, I only run off of 11MG fluid, but I have friends who's addiction is worse, and they started at a stronger strength. I would suggest to get one of each strength starting at 18 going up, in different flavors, because I can guarantee you will buy one flavor you won't like. Like I just bought vanilla a strawberry, I love Strawberry, but the Vanilla, surprisingly, not at all :/ Trial and error man.

You will hear MANY different opinions on where to start. My opinion is to start cheap and find what you like then go from there.
The best and cheapest way to go is with the Ego twist. They are variable voltage and the batteries go for a decent amount of time between charges. Maybe carry both batteries with you during the day. An excellent source is eGo Twist 650 Starter Kit
I make my own juices so I won't recommend a site, but try samplers in different flavors, (tobacco and non-tobacco). probably at 18mg or 24mg. That's my advice. Just don't jump into some expensive mod right from the git-go

Welcome to ECF,

No you are not a lost cause, I smoked right at 3 packs a day and had for many years. While I also started with one of the infernos, I don't suggest them to anyone. They are simply an ego-t set up that you can get cheaper any number of places. I found for me tho they wheren't enough to help, I found I got a better vape off a 3.7 unregulated, but everyone is different.

Going off what you said you need, AFTER you find some juices you like for an all day vape, you might want to look at a bottom feeder such as a reo.

I think you need a better PV. I know a few people who went that route and they went back to analogs. Lucky for me I had a friend that had a Ego twist and a big VV and he got me headed in a good direction for me. I moved off tobacco flavors very quick. That helped a bunch. No tobacco smell nasty to me. I hope I don't become one of those obnoxious ex smokers you always hear about. LOL
I gave away all my cigars to a friend. But not before telling him I now vape and am loving it. LOL

I recommend Green Smoke - I've been using it for 2.5 years now and it has been great - great flavors, exceptional quality, and even the vapor looks realistic!! My daughter loves the smell of the different flavors when I smoke them.

I created a video review of Green Smoke, in case you're interested :)

hey zack, i also believe the e-go twist might be a good place to start. it is a good product. my wife uses one and loves it. she was a pack a day smoker. me on the other hand was a two pack a day smoker and personally had to move up to a bigger 6vt variable voltage device to get the amount of vapor to suppliment my cravings. also using this device with a regular cartomizer or atomizer still didnt do it for me, so i went with a genesis stlye rebuildable atomizer, the DID atomizer. to me the genesis atomizers produce the greatest, tastiest and thickest vapor around. when these devices where implimented i never looked back. thats just me though, i know alot of people have quit smoking regular cigs with just the basic electronic devices. good luck

I also suggest a better/bigger PV.

I would assume it isn't too late to cancel that order...and for that cost you can get vivi novas, juice and a zmax (a little more and that zmax could be a provari). You have little more than a day or two to "lose" by seeing how far you can go if you are willing to jump in to a couple hundred immediately.

I have been off and on from ecigs to analogs for a few years.

What I have noticed is that every single time I have tried to do the 'cold turkey' way, which for me did not work (analogs to ecig). Recently I just came to the realization that moderation is the key. Sure you can fall off the wagon now and then but as long as your willing to pick yourself up you'll do fine. That's just me though, I know everyone else has different experiences.

So to sum it up, I think instead of making that big leap, take those baby steps to where you want to go.

I think I can safely say that Nicotine is no where near as addictive as they claim. I used to hang out for it when I smoked but since I vape I never get the urge to have Nic boost. I vape 12mg only at home and never take my vape anywhere with me. IMO it's the other chemicals in burning tobacco combined with the Nic that become so addictive.

If you spend a lot of time in a vehicle, maybe a battery passthrough like the Volt X2 or plenty of others? You can be plugged in while in the car, and unhook and take it with you when you go. Even without the passthrough plug-in, something like 900 mAh or 1,300 mAh should last you a very long time between charges.

Continuing tobacco use can be using a nic level that's too low. If you find yourself unsatisfied, I think I'd go higher nic to start and cut back later if you want to.

I third-fourth-fifth.. the ego style with a clearomizer and several bottles of juice and you'll be all set. I carry mine around everywhere in my pocket and it's not so abnormal looking people give you much guff over it. I smoked a pack a day for 15 years, been on this setup for over a year now and enjoy it way more than I ever did cigs.
