I've been reading through the forums all weekend. I decided to start doing my own coils because it looked like fun ad was actually relaxing. And from all I've read I nailed the first attempt with an rba. I haven't been vaping long. Just hit 6 months but I love it. I'm a man of many hobbies with another to put on my list.

Hello, SolidSquirrel and welcome to ECF. Good job on the coils. I'm doing ok on coil building but need a lot of practice on the wicking. I like your positive attitude. Keep on vaping. :vapor::vapor:
Oh the wicking was fun. By the time I was done it looked like I had sheared a small sheep.

First dozen or so attempts at wicking was a comedy of errors. Thank the good lord I was playing with CVS organic cotton balls and not shesedo pads!! First go was me going thru an entire ball with me wearing most of it!!

It's all good! Repetition and lots of vids and pics helped shorten the learning curve that's for sure!!

Welcome and have fun but be safe!!!

Frankly, I find that the Japanese cotton is easier to work with than normal cotton balls.

Oh hells yea, you will get no argument from me there!! I wasn't willing to pay the "by the pad" price I was seeing at some shops so in the mean time it's was full on balls so to speak!!

I then made the purchase of bulk shesedo pads and have been playing wick master ever since!
