I really enjoy local vape meets when I do have the opportunity to attend them... great way to meet people and build out a social network.

I really enjoy local vape meets when I do have the opportunity to attend them... great way to meet people and build out a social network.

I wish we had more action in this area. Most of it would be a couple of hours north/north east of me in Chicago. There's 300K people in the Peoria area and I haven't seen a single meet advertised. We have a couple shops, but nothing worth noting at this moment. There's just no sense of community amongst the vapers in this area at all, or perhaps, I just haven't stumbled upon it yet.

...., I can totally relate to your plight. I've never seen another vaper where I live. I know we have a lot of Texans on this forum, but Texas is freakin' huge and it's a long drive to anywhere. It's just me, myself and I, plus all of you that I relate with and share with. It would be a blast to have someone from this forum near me. I probably wouldn't have ever quit smoking had it not been for all the sub-forums here at ecf, and especially this NT forum and the reo forum. ...., there should be somebody from here that lives close to you. With a city that large, the odds are pretty decent. But if not, you still do have all of us

In the absence of something being organized, maybe an opportunity to reach out and organize something yourself? Usually it's a matter of hitting up any vape shops if they exist, passing around fliers for them to distribute... hitting up smoke shops, etc. Then hit up some vendors for free .... to give away as promo items, find a nice pool hall and chill for a few hours!

That's the great thing about the internet, you're never alone no matter what your interests are. Technology may be to blame for so many issues in the modern world, but on the other hand it's made the world a much smaller place. We should start a skype vape meet on here

I've actually considered that and will look into it a bit more when I have more free time. Life is extremely hectic at the moment.
