A milestone... 24 hours in

Went from 1.5 packs of conventional cigs (don't count the years) to the Intellicig product yesterday. And within the last 24 hours, I've had coffee and adult beverage moments, but it hasn't been torture so far and I assume it gets even easier. This was not necessarily an endorsement for Intellicig/Evo since they're the only e-cig I've tried, but I will offer points to them insofar as customer service goes. I'm going to keep you posted whether or not you're interested. Andy

Good work Andy - well done.

And pleased do keep us posted. I'll be interested to see a daily post of how it's going for you.

These e cigs totally empower you to take control. If you go a few more days without then analogs are gonna taste absolutely dog rough unsmokable.

From 1.5 packs to zero...sheeeesh. What mg is your nic ?

lol, OldDragon and have no fear, Religion. I am fortunate in that I work from a home office when not travelling, so I now have an assembly line of sorts in which I'm maintaining charged batteries. Also, I'm well-supplied with refills. The only thing that makes me nervous is that I have but one "vapor device". I've ordered another and it shipped today.

Welcome, Andy. Today is actually a milestone for me as well. One week off analogs. I actually thought the first day was pretty easy just because I was so distracted by my new toy. Day 4 has been my hardest so far. The novelty was wearing off and I spent some time with a smoker. But I stuck it out and as if I were being rewarded, the next day I started noticing major improvements in my senses of smell and taste. I still haven't had any "adult beverages" since I started and that will be a major test for me because that is how I started smoking in the first place, but I'm optimistic. So stick with it. I won't say its easy, but I'm having a much better time with this than I did with any other quitting method.

Congrats, Andy!

I'm almost at a week myself (PAD to 0 when I got my PV). I'll agree with dethjon and say that day 4 was the most difficult for me as well. I would drink a full bottle of water whenever a major craving hit, along with a couple puffs on my Mega T-Rex. I quit drinking 10 months ago because it was a major trigger for me, and I was probably drinking a bit too much anyway. My lungs and my liver are both thanking me...

And thank you to my other new friends who followed up with supportive messages. You guys are really something and so I know where to go if I contemplate back-sliding, but the first 24 hours weren't torture and I know I'll make it through this evening just fine. Btw... I've tried gum, etc in the past. Only an e-cig made this possible. Thanks!
