One of my first V4L batteries from my very *first* starter kit died today. It lasted about 9 months. It was a white auto battery, and we've been through a lot together! I really loved it instantly....then moved on to manual batteries after a couple months, but I dug it back out of the drawer and I've been using it non-stop for the past 6 months or so....it became my favorite again.

I am curious, how long are these lasting for everyone else??
I have heard people on this forum say theirs have lasted over a year, some 6 months or so.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved.

I have the original battery from my starter kit (I lost one somewhere), and my husband has 2 that he got at the same time. They are 7 months old, all manuals. I didn't start using mine until November, and he has barely touched his. I think he should give them to me so they have a good home.

RIP, phishtraveler's auto.

love your SN Phishtraveler! I traveled with the dead 93 & 94.
Anyway, my 510 batteries seemed to suck within a month. They were the authentic joye ones too. No wonder they sell the HUGE charger that charges like 10 of 'em at a time. I went through at least 10 a day when I was using a 510.

This sounds like a great time to pick up a REO!!

It's all good EleanorR, call me out. I'm a V4L juice customer just in case you didn't know. From now on, I'll stay out of the V4L forums & quite possibly their shop.

FYI, the OP was talking about his battery dying & I kindly offered a suggestion to a product where the battery does not die. I'm not "pimping" anything.

Temper, temper, bmw . . . have you looked at your signature lately?:D

If you like V4L juices, there's no reason to stop buying them (otherwise known as "cutting off one's nose to spite one's face").

It seems my use of the word "pimp" is what especially set you off. I apologize and retract; please mentally replace with the word "promote." Is that better?

I don't know you from anyone... but it's comments like that which encourage me to blurt the phrase "Drama queen"...

If you really like the product, why does a fellow shopper's comment (good or bad) matter where you spend your green? She's not a rep, neither am I.

EleanorR~ All i've ran into in ANY of the forums on ECF is "vapor love" until I made a friendly suggestion regarding a box mod that doesn't die. Then I get accused of pimping or promoting. I'll spend my cash, & write in the forums that share "vapor love". There are plenty of vendors out there, and plenty of friendly forums.

I won't be "cutting off my nose despite my face", because there are a ton of both hardware and juice vendors that promote "vapor love", & won't tolerate name calling due to a battery suggestion. Comparing a "starter kit" to a "bottom feeder" is like comparing apples to oranges. The entire reason I purchased a bottom feeder is because of continued dying batteries. I made an educated suggestion, based on my previous experience. (Continue with dying batteries, or try something that doesn't die). Minds only function when open.

Have I read my signature lately? yep, I just edited it tonight because I sold my Ego-T (due to lack of vape flavor).

Vape Happy,
Jen

Sigh. Apparently my apology is not accepted.

Jen, I'm not interested in trading insults with you. Has it occurred to you that there's a reason you get less-than-friendly responses every time you go on an ECF forum and "make a friendly suggestion regarding a box mod that [allegedly] doesn't die"? Next time you wish to be helpful (and I really believe you do), try just PMing that person instead.

Indeed, minds do function best when open (although, like mouths, they must eventually close on something solid and nourishing, lest the whole person die). Perhaps some day yours will open to the concepts of decorum and good manners.

Vape happy indeed,
El

My original XL batt died after a year, most of them last 6 months and then just lose power. I do clean the threaded end in alcohol and stick a needle in the tiny air holes..makes them go for a while more!

Jen, the OP was taking about a batt that has lasted a YEAR befor dying..that's no small feat in the e-world.
Next time concider P.M.ing your suggestion when you are in a vendor forum. It's not a big deal but it is concidered polite.
Thanks for taking this under concideration.
