Nice craftsmanship on that mod; what kind of wood is that? Did you use mosfet switch protection or directly wire up the fire button?

The switch does not handle the current.
The chip features a remote pin.

As for the wood, If I remember right Its called Mardone Birdseye burl.

The innard is a little bit of a mess, I am working on one that is a little smaller and with "cleaner" curves. I will definitely take photos.

It is aluminum. It was done by a rigged "wooden jig- bent to how I wanted the shape to be

This one has 2 little machine screws on the bottom to hold its shape. There are no screws attaching the metal to the wood. Its done by magnets and epoxy. The new one will be welded.
