Hi Jan, SmoklessImage.com Volt is a great kr808-D1 batt with lots of people who love it on the ECF. The reason I recommend this one to you is that they are in Ohio and ship things out almost immediately upon order. If you ordered today you might even receive your kit by Wednesday. They are running a 21% off sale right now, sorry I don't know the code. If you get one more post you can ask in this thread for the code http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...87974-official-smokelessimage-com-thread.html and I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out. Welcome, good luck and congratulations on finding the ECF before getting ripped off. :)

They also have top notch customer service and a supplier rep is on that thread I linked you too almost 24/7. I'm not sure she ever sleeps.

Agreed and The Code for Smokeless Image sale is SUMMEREND (all Caps) and if I may suggest to start off with get some prefilled Cartomizers - even better a sample pack so you can find what YOU like before investing in different Bottled Nic-juice . . . GOOD LUCK ! ! ! :D

IMO - this is one of the best ways to start without scaring yourself with all the BIG Stuff . . .

Thank you everyone that posted. I looked around ALL DAY and came up with the KR 808 D as a good one for me. I want an e-cig that is not heavy and fat as a cigar. Many I looked at were excellent except for the fatness. Vapor4Life is interesting. Nice kits with colors too! Even diamond color ( tips )??? I welcome any more suggestions on the thinner models, Long is ok, just not fat and heavy. Thanks again, Jan

I love my V4L system, good flavor hit and looks good- but eventually got tired of spending so much time recharging. I now have an eGo which is not as cute, but it lasts all day, and delivers a lot more flavor and vapor than the cig look alike. It's not heavy, and a little girth is not a bad thing...Welcome to ECF and the world of ex-smokers!

Halo G6 kit (2 batts, 7 cartos (5 filled) is 55.00, If you are trying to get off of Analog cigs, get Torque 56 flavor, stuff puffs and hits like a marb red. my Mother in law spent $100 on that Fifty one kit, nice and all but performance was terrible. They try to charge you $30 for a 7ml bottle of juice.

I started on the NJOY from a Hess. found really nice empty cartos (RN4081) with soft (easy refill) tips and metal housing on AZsmokefree for 11.00 for 5 shipped. So I was into it $31, then some small bottles of ejuice (just search the forums for your style, they have them all for much less. I love Halocigs tobacco flavors, they perform amazingly.

My lungs thank me every morning...

Wow 300$ ! You can get a 510 for about 35$ or a fancy mod that will probably last you ages for 150$ !
Sounds like a rip off!

They're pretty notorious around here. White Cloud and Greensmoke are two of the worst offenders for this sort of thing -- though still not as bad as those quasi-scammers that give you free crappy hardware and then sign you up for a monthly subscription on crappy, overpriced cartos.

If you have the money to spend $300 on a kit, I'd say if you get a KR808-D1, you'll have money to buy something else when you get sick of those little batteries. So, go ahead. Three things to be certain of. 1) Make sure you get a D1 and not a D2. Come on here and ask, if you have any doubts. 2) Make sure you are buying from a reputable vendor. 3) Make sure you get a PCC (Personal Charging Case). That last will help stave off the day that you go get an eGo or something.

As long as you accept the reality of battery size. The KR808 is a fine platform, modest cost for the batteries. Batteries are limited to 300 charge cycles, as such, a single mini isn't going to last an average user all year. You'll likely need 5, this is an estimate. People suggest sharpy sized e-cigs for a good reason, they last 1/2 to a full day, they are rated to run higher wattage elements, they last a year or two before you need to replace them, as such they're half as much to operate.

If you're willing to pay extra for style, to the tune $60ish/year on batteries, more power to yeah. Otherwise consider a Riva 510 as a backup unit. They're $30ish plus fluid.

Do consider a manual battery. These thing operate on juice, and if juice gets in an automatic battery, they won't work.

V4L has some nice looking batteries, and some XL as well which "should" give you 320-380maH. Two was kind of enough for me to rotate though daily, but I picked up a 3rd just to be safe. I'd lean toward smokelessimage (volt) batteries for function and price.

The important thing to know is what's available and how much it should cost. With some exceptions, don't depend on a kiosk vendor to tell you any of that. Commissions and salary, coupled with kiosk rent and the owner's profit will drive up the price on anything in a mall.

Mail order is the standard unless you happen to be lucky enough to live with driving distance of a vendor who will allow walk in traffic. Mail order sites will tell you what you are getting, generally. Kiosk vendors put a fancy name on the product and sell you the same thing you can buy mail order for a HUGE profit. Then, they tell you that you have to come back and buy their consumables, at a huge markup.

In the defense of mall kiosks, they are responsible for getting the word out about a healthier alternative to smoking.

And technical support. I can excuse SmokingEverywhere for some degree regarding their Mall Kiosks. There is a high learning curve and being able to hunt down the person who sold you the sucker for help is worth a premium.

White Cloud is just an insane ripoff.
