Hello everyone. I've been looking around here with no clear destination for the past couple of weeks and finally decided to become a member and stop being an anonymous ghost.

I've been vaping for around, oh, a month or so, but I am still very much a newbie when it comes to all this.
I had been smoking for about five years when I first actually noticed those little gas station e-cigs and decided to try them, and wow, I don't think I've ever been let down by something that looked so promising. Lol. :)
I tried a few of them and when they did no better, worse in fact, than regular cigarettes, I said oh well and went back to my terrible pack and half a day smoking.
A couple of weeks later I was at a friends house when I saw her, what looked like smoking, out of very weird looking device, and became almost obsessed.

So now, just a month later, I have ran head first into this new experience and am loving it, except for my errors. I started off with a little starter kit from a vendor I found in a local mall, a small (650mah I believe) ego with a ce4 clearo and some juice. I felt on top of the world, until one of the juices I had gotten, a menthol, started to crack the clearo. I now know that was the reason, but at that point I just figured I dropped it and went and got another, and then it happened again. Since I was now moving to my current location, I couldn't just go back and get another clearo, so I went back to smoking. When I got settled in here, I ordered a new little setup, a 1000mah Ego Twist, and a Kanger T3S. I was sort of just blindly jumping in and getting what I thought might be good without much research. Got more juice, didn't know about steeping, threw away coil heads when I changed from not-ready fluid to not-ready fluid, finally found another local-ish shop, got another clearo and some already steeped juice, but messed it up in another glass clearo I had ordered (a davide mini, and still not sure exactly what happened there), and am now sitting with a wierd but alright juice blend (from those that weren't steeped but are now decent), waiting on some new coil heads and juice (that this time I actually researched to see what I really needed and what juices I should be able to vape out of the mail), and writing this hello in the hopes that I may be able to get some advice on where to go from here. lol :)

If you have read all this and stayed with me, I thank you (I can sometimes get a little long winded).

My current setup sits at, a 650mah ego battery, a 1000mah ego twist, Both a regular and mini Davide, a T3s, another bottom coil clearo that doesn't have a name on it, and strange mix of chocolate mint/irish mintz/coffe to get me through.

Soooo, and suggestions and helpful tips would be great. :)

Welcome to the forum, Oakwolfe. :toast:

I did read your post. I'm confused what you are asking advice on? Juice suggestion or juice delivery devices?

You seem set with batteries and juice delivery devices. Always good, and necessary, to have backups. Finding some flavors that you truly like can be a difficult yet exciting part of vaping. There's so many to try.

One suggestion on finding flavors, is to try several different juice manufacturers. Also different kinds of flavors. You might be surprised which ones you like, and don't. It's best to buy smaller bottle sizes, or samplers from vendors who offer them, so not to waste money on larger bottles of juice that you may never care for. Once you find some you like, you can then order more in a larger size.

Be sure to drink plenty of water. Pg and Vg in the juice tends to dehydrate you, so you need to replenish your body's store of water. The draw with vaping may be different from how you smoked. Draw into the mouth, much like sucking a straw in a milkshake before inhaling into your lungs. Nearly all of the nicotine in vapor is absorbed in the mouth and nose. So, you'll want to make sure it stays in your mouth a while, and then exhale through your mouth and nose.

E-liquid flavor should improve for you over time. Presently your taste buds are damaged from smoking, but they will heal over time. As they heal, you'll begin to notice more flavor in your food and drink, as well as your vapor.

Definitely good advice. I got really dehydrated when I first started vaping (PG dehydrates you the most). But over time I got used to it and drinking plenty of water when vaping helped tremendously.

Hi Oak welcome to the club !

sounds like your doing OK, Baditude gave you some good advice

eGo variable volt and a "bcc" (bottom coil tank) just start getting small bottles of juice and some replaceable coils
and go for it -- maybe another VV eGo is in your future but just fine tune your vaping and your good to go

Vision Spinner Black 1300mah

Kanger T3s/MT3s Coil Replacement ** 5 Pack - 2.2 ohms

good luck and let us know what happens... :)

Thanks for the welcome. :)

As far as the advice, I really just mean anything in general. I really jumped head first without looking and wanted to make sure I was heading in right.

Unfortunately, I can't say that I have been completely without cigarettes the whole experience due to cracking tanks, running out of juice, etc., but I can say that I have started to see the differences such as taste, and how cigarettes just taste awful now. lol.
I did find one juice that I really loved, but my last of it sadly went to waste, although I'm not certain, felt like my mini davide just wasn't letting the juice through to the wicks, causing a burning taste, but at least the juices I have are finally vapeable, just now have to wait for some new coil heads so I Can use my clearos again. lol :)
