Need more description than that to understand the style of vaping. Also this is the first time Ive seen it measured in amps. What would that be in watts?

if mods where to show amps more prominent then watts,would that make people more aware of battery limits?i use to be RLH but moved on to DLH,never mtl.do not want to say watts someone might call me a tootle puffer.
Some of my mods show amps but I never looked at it. Just checked and I run between 2.5 and 3.5. Pretty tame compared with this new style.

Onscreen information on volts and amps is what is being delivered to the atomizer, not what is being drawn from the cells. The regulator chip separates the atomizer side from the battery side, uses an algorithm to calculate the correct balance of amps and volts to generate the selected wattage and deliver this to the atomizer. It then draws what it needs from the battery side.
The mod can measure the remaining voltage in the cells, but it cannot know what their amp capabilities are. This why as the user you need to be familiar with how to calculate the amp draw from the batteries at your selected wattage level, and ensure that you have appropriately rated cells. Bear in mind that the mod will blindly draw an increasing number of amps from the cells as the voltage in them drops off.
I suppose it's possible to program a chipset so that the user can enter the known tested CDR of the cells they are using. The mod could then do the necessary calculations for you. No company has done this yet.
I have included a link to an article describing the simple maths you need to calculate amp draw on a regulated mod. The basic rule is that a 20 amp battery is good for 60 watts, 25 amp 75 watts and 30 amp 90w watts. This is assuming that the batteries are correctly rated and genuine, and are not worn out as amp limit falls with age and abuse.
