This one uses a second wrap that has printing on it that would normally be put directly on the metal can. These fakes do not have the two “dimples” on top that all VTC 18650’s do.
Hopefully you can easily spot them by looking at the ends of the wrap at the top and bottom to see if the battery is double-wrapped.
I do not know if there are other fakes like this with different date/batch codes or if other VTC battery models are being faked like this. These fakes were spotted in South Korea but could be in any country.
