Hi folks. My name is Aaron. I'm an engineer and photographer in Denver, CO. Long long time vaper and lurker. Didn't even bother making an account until last week. Made it so I could look at other people's copper tube mods for switch ideas. Now I'm getting my posts in so I can start posting photos of my current projects.
Short background... I started vaping 5ish years ago. One of my friends got a free starter set from Blu when they took forever to ship his first kit. He gave it to me and maybe a week later I was on Totally Wicked's UK site (before they opened the Florida store and warehouse) buying my first 510 kit and a PPC. Found out about the reversed polarity on the Blus and just gutted them for their 510 threads. I immediately got into building basic radio shack box mods. I eventually built a couple mechs but stuck with boxes until the cheaper VV /VW hit the scene. Ive also been through my share of RBAs and RDAs. Currently using a SiD at home with a Trident clone (1.8 ohm single micro build) and my daily carry is one of a few Vision 1300mah spinners and Nova S BDC tanks. I don't like risking losing my gear and I don't like making huge clouds in public.
Rand Stewart and Vent69 do some great work, but I can't help but notice that there is huge demand for custom mods that isn't being filled. I'd like to help fill some of that demand. I built a couple basic mechanical mods but never had the materials on hand to really build a mod the way I wanted to until last week. I went out and bought a ton of materials when I noticed a lot of the ideas I'd sketched had already been designed and built by other moders. Time to get started before there is nothing new to build!!
I've built a couple new copper mechs that I'm touching up and polishing. Magnetic switches on both. Will be posting photos later this week. Haven't gotten my hands on a dna board so no custom regulated mods in the works yet.
