Yep! Altho, you CAN put in a sliver of goat cheese at the bottom of the cup you serve in, and a drizzle of olive oil on top as an option.

Mom made red beans and rice and now making homemade dark choc pudding w/ coconut.
Ooooooh, dark chocolate is the only kind of chocolate I like. When I go to See's, I order dk choc. only. That sounds so good since I'm also a coconut fan.

Nope the Hispanic way is to cook your beans w/ sofrito & cilantro, bit of cumin then mix w/ rice. Yum! My momma & I are part Hispanic she's 1/2 and I'm a 1/4.
That way of cooking sounds really good. I just mix my beans w/sour cream and salsa, then stir the rice in and eat it with corn tortilla chips. IDK what sofrito is.
My grandma would cook a big pot of red beans with smoked sausage or ham mix in some cooked rice and some cornbread....yummy!!!

Tonight will be grilled chicken, stovetop stuffing, corn and peaches...hey! Maybe I need to rethink...that's all the same color!

Tonight will be getting rid of leftovers so I can clean my fridge/freezer this weekend. At the top of the list is potato salad. What I did different this time is carmelized the onions and did 4x the olives I usually do, also b&b pickles instead of dill.
There's that stovetop stuffing again that I love so much! Gotta get some. Tonight we are going out to a very nice (but comfy, not frou-frou) restaurant. Usually we don't on a Friday since there are no tables available but this time I had the foresight to actually make a reservation. Wine will be involved!
