Hi all,

I'm pretty new to all this bit ordered a cheap and cheerful knock off evod kit from eBay to get started.

When it works it's great but it does seem to go through phases where there's no flavour or a burnt taste.

After trawling through all of the info on here I've just ordered an itaste vv kit with I clear 16s and a pro tank mini.

I'm hoping it'll be a much more reliable set up and I can make the most of these flavours!

Anyway great forum and I look forward to getting more involved and maybe even helping others in the future.

Here's to getting off the analogues

Like klynnn said it can take a while to get the perfect all day vape for most. Unless your like me, every time something new comes out I must have it. Also keep in mind that if your transitioning from a smoker to a vaper your taste buds will act funky for a while. This is natural as it will take time for your body to get back to normal and fix what damage smoking did.

You did well. Did you get replacement coils for your protank mini? I have the protank mini 2 and am very pleased. While I vape pretty thick flavors, I've had best results substituting a washed and dry-burned coil on a daily basis. I notice an easier draw and fuller flavors.

Also want to add that, in my limited experience, it's best to soak the heads/coils in warm/hot, allow to dry overnight, dry burn and THEN do a final soak with PGA or 91% ISO. I'm seeing a lot of carbon in the alcohol following that final bath and highly recommend as standard practice.

If you're using the 91% ISO for cleaning you HAVE to wait until COMPLETELY dry and odor free i.e. 2-3 days. If you can't do this you MUST use PGA instead. It's simply not worth the risk, especially for minor cost differences. My .02

Your replacement setup should be quite sufficient provided you use it as intended ... If not, the experience could be just as bad as it is now.
