trimmer ecig.jpgMy latest mod. There is alot of room in there for a booster circuit and I'm not real happy with on/off switch vaping (Im using the built in switch lol) but this literally took me 5 minutes. Whole thing came apart easily and the 510 battery fitting squeezed in perfectly where the trimmer tip used to be. Looks pretty good eh? ;)

The AA sized 14500. I ordered a 2 1X (1.50$ each) and also 2 2X AA (3$) powered cell phone emergency chargers for experimentation for builds and while waiting for them to come in this thing crapped out and I was like hmmm... I could use it and it's all shiny lol. I'll be adding a momentary contact switch and a booster circuit in a couple weeks. After getting an ego C twist I can't go back to fixed voltage! I'll show the guts when I'm done.
The emergency cell phone chargers will look even better, and the 1X AA one is really compact. Should make a great portable mod that accepts cheap rechargeable lithiums. I've made a couple AA box mods, but they look like crap and I feel like a crackhead vaping them in public so I've been looking for other options.

So I added a small push button to my hair trimmer mod. Then today, my 1 cell emergency phone charger came in so I modded that very easily, for the most compact single 14500 battery mod Ive ever seen! Check it out! Works great and I recessed that little button so I don't hit it accidentally in my pocket but no on off switch. Its smaller than my ego c-twist! The cool part is the clear piece on top threads into the top of the metal tube with the same threads as the bottom cap, so you can stack two tubes for a double battery tube! It was $1.00 plus 2$ shipping a piece on ebay, available in several colors as well! If anyone wants to do the same, I can take picks of how I modded the internal board.

Thanks! Here's the latest mod, a variable voltage (LM350T) twin 14500. This is the 2AA emergency cell phone charger I previously mentioned (the black one). Looks cleaner than a box mod, and had more room for the VV circuitry. Now I need to learn to build a compact booster for the hairy nose mod.

It overheats pretty bad with a dual coil, but works fine at 4.1 volts on a 3.2 ohm. Not too fond of the button placement... but this ones got an actual power switch as well and I was out of other places to put it. I'll have to rethink it, but the next one will definitely have a switching regulator in it.
