I'm not sure if everyone's seen this, I know Mindfield posted a video and Mopar mentioned it in his supplier thread, but I think it's important that people be aware of what's happening.

She has since chosen to leave the vaping community and has set all of her videos to "Private" but you can still read her story on her blog:

I'm absolutely disgusted at how people could do this to one of the most wonderful person in the vaping community and I sincerely hope that SteelJan reconsiders her decision because she is leaving a void that can't be filled.

If you saw her first video regarding vapor bullies and how very upset she was, you would know this is no joke. This is absolutely disgusting! I never watched many of her videos as she was way beyond my modding abilities but I enjoyed every one that I did watch. This is one very intelligent and humorous lady and in no way did she deserve that kind of treatment. Wish there was some way the people behind this could be 'outed' in public - this is just despicable! She's not the only one who has been targeted like this either. How *#@*! -ing pathetic these low life cowards are to hide behind a computer screen and spew their ignorant comments and threats like this!! Gaahhhh ... just makes me fume!!!

This is exactely why we must closely watch the way we interact with one another. If this begins to be common place many reviewers will simply clam up and decide it is better for you,me , US to decide for ourselves. Life is quite curious, and many people only see how they can complain about FREE services. Jan, Phil, Grimm, Vaping monkey all of you Dont give up the good fight.

For every piece of vile mail you recieve there are hundreds of us that appreciate your work. All of you are leader in our culture life and our hope. I dont ever comment on videos, I dont usually contact reviewers. I have however used videos from all of you and many others regarding devices and equipment and juices. Please, consider for all the loud mouthed jerks out there that there are many more like myself, quite reserved and appreciative. YOUR WORK HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED. People like you are pillars of this community. We need you guys more than ever before. Vaping has been gathering momentum and as more poeple join the flock, you are our sheperds to help guide us. This is very important. DONT discount what you do and the immense amount of love you have within our Community.

If needed and if there is any interest I will setup a site for you Steeljan. I will pay for the costs associated with the monthly site and I will insure that you not only have full control of the comments and that we can rid ourselves of these miscreants But , that you can have a website where your content can be protected and shared or denied for anyone of your chosing.

Please if anyone knows how to get in contact with her please let her know this offer is on the table. I would not make an offer like this if I did not believe in the work that these reviewers do. This goes for any other review out there. If you would like we can start our own site for video review posting of vaping products. I am not an amateur at this sort of thing and Could have this sort of site up and running in under 1 week.

Run your finger around it. This cyber bullying does not need to occur and it can be controlled by utilizing sites that are not free market domains. If we own the space we control it. Go ahead post something nasty so I can ensure that you never come here again...

This is the first I've heard of any kind of negativity within the vaping community, all though I am new to this. This is really disappointing. I know it'd never happen, but I'd be really interested in getting a list of some of these email addresses these emails were sent from and tracking them back to a source, if I could.

I've seen nothing but kindness and genuine comradeship with all my interactions through my newbie quest. It's a shame that people out here are acting like this.

Not to start a conspiracy theory but if you discourage and silence the loudest and most prominent voices in the community you severly hinder the ability for a group to organize and control. Maybe it's not other vapers doing this sort of hit and run behavior. Dont for a minute think our enemies arent watching the same content we are and tearing it apart where it can.

The comment that was made in S.J.'s goodbye that we as a Community Can Not Debate an Issue with out it Degrading is Not True. 99.99% of Us can. Unfortunately, there is Always a Small Fringe Group who are Completely Intolerant to any View Other than their own or Look for an Opportunity to Invoke an Argument.

It is Truly Sad that the actions of these Few can drive someone like S.J. away. But I Understand just what it is like to come Under Personal Attack because a comment is Taking the Wrong Way or If a View is Counter to One of these Fringe Members.

For the Myself, and I think I speak for most Members here on the ECF, I wish S.J. All the Best and Look Forward to a Day when She Wants to Return.
