Afternoon Wiz and whiskey. Things have still been kind of slow at work for me but I'm ok with that. It's a nice even pace for a change. I better start saving my pennies if I'm going to move to that nice, cool MI.
Here too. I've had a nice couple of days at work. Of course my shop is air conditioned. I had never tried a riva/ego before so decided this morning to order a riva carto kit from liberty flights. I figure even if I don't like it then I can sell it easy. It came with a cool little carrying case.
Not too cool today Hitt. Close to 90 here! We are so used to cold weather that when it gets this hot and humid it's hard to handle. I'm sure you an PTJD are accustomed to higher temps.

Ninety sounds pretty good. It said 102 on my way home. I don't know how accurate the one in my car is but I would guess it's pretty close.
Just got in a hour ago, tired as usual! Yep looks like we had rain in OKC also, missed it, but sure did need it.

I've been using some of the 801 cartos that wiz turned me onto and also am liking the xl dual coil cartos at 6v. They have been lasting two weeks or better each. The dual coils hold 40-60 drops.
Damn! Two weeks? I am lucky to get 4 or 5 days out of my 801 cartos. I have been using Lr 510's with my Buzz.......really nice at 5v! Still only last a few days before they get tired.
Looking forward to trying the dual coil carto. Thanks Hitt!

Good morning. Wiz, you have to remember that I don't go thru near as much liquid as you do so you may or may not get the same life. I saw where one person said that they ran at least 20ml or more thru one. I haven't tried cleaning one out yet but might just for fun to see if they can be cleaned and used again.
Morning Whis and Hitt! I have tried cleaning regular cartos using a couple different methods with minimal success Hitt. They just never quite taste the same as they do when they're new.

Wiz, just out of curiosity I ohmed out the 801 carto that I have been using for a while and the resistance has gone up from about 3 ohms to 4ohms. I noticed it wasn't vaping as well. Just put on a new one and it's working like a gem. Evidentally the coil must have carbon build up over time. I tried washing it out and am still reading the higher resistance. I think I'll just throw it out. They aren't very expensive. I cleaned one of the DC cartos and it's reading 1.8 which is up from 1.5. it might be still useable. I'm gonna let it dry for a day or two and then give it a try.
I think your right on the carbon build-up Hitt. I really just judge my cartos on taste and TH, nothing else. I never throw mine out, I just put them into a ziplock baggie in case someone comes up with a new idea for getting them back to factory settings.....LOL! Most of mine still givea good TH.....Just the taste is off.
I must have over 50 sitting in the current ziplock!

Wiz, vaporer did a thread in the modders forum on making some large cartos with replaceable coils but I'm just too lazy to go thru all that work for a carto.
