Afternoon. So Wiz do you need new glasses or what?
Doc said my eyes were about the same Hitt. I really need a new pair though as the current ones are pretty scratched up. All free with the insurance. Yay!!

Free? What's that word mean? Good for you Wiz. After that huge order you put in it wouldn't be good if you had to pay for glasses.
You got that right! My optical insurance is really good. One time per year they cover the exam, most frames,no line bi-focals(I am old),and progressive lenses.

Pretty decent for $14 every two week for the entire family. Guess it really wasn't free though!

Good evening everyone. Wiz I have to submit an eye exam every three years to keep up my CWI certificate. Funny thing, they expect you to be able to see to inspect welds. I haven't needed glasses yet but the last exam wasn't near as good as years past.

That's not uncommon. I think most companies are doing as many cutbacks as possible. I used to go to training schools all the time and now I just order training DVD's and tests that I do on my own. In a couple years they aren't going to have a choice but to send me for a week if they want me to be able to renew my welding inspector certificate. You have to have forty hours of schooling to renew at the nine year mark.
