Supposed to have thunderstorms here later this afternoon. Grass could really use some free water! I can't remember it being this hot last year. Glad I get to spend my vacation inside

Now who was going to do the rain dance? Thanks to a rate increase and them changing from bi-monthly to monthly billing, my water bill is almost twice as much as it was last year. I am trying to only run the sprinklers when I have to but it's still high.

They have never rationed here. I'm sure they'd like you to use as much as possible.
Well not sure which is better! We have a sprinkler system and our water bill this past month was close to $300!
Good morning. Wow PT, I thought mine was bad. Mine was about half of that. However it used to be about a quarter of that. It's always hard to accept increases in monthly bills.
Yeah, and its not like I'm over watering, I still have to set-up a hose and water dry spots.

Good morning PT. I have a fairly small yard with only five zones on my sprinkler system. When it's extremely hot like it has been for the last week or two then I have them set to run every morning and sometimes if it looks like it needs more then I'll run again in the evening.

I think I have my sprinklers to water about 4 times a week but each zone runs for 40 minutes or so. Depending who you talk to they tell me to just soak the grass a few times a week.

Very good point, I'll take this heat any-day over the Ice Storms/windchill in winter here!
