I never would have imagined that switching from dual coil clearomizers to a Kanger SubTank Nano could make such a difference in vaping overall. My first subtank just arrived a few days ago and I am astounded in the difference in the flavor and of course vapor production but mostly the flavor enhancement of my new favorite juice flavor. After a couple of weeks of searching for a good coffee flavor juice, I discovered a flavor made by "Velvet Cloud Vapor" which is called "Night Shift". It is a coffee and glazed doughnut flavor that is out of this world in my opinion. I was told after sampling it in a clearomizer that once I filled my new subtank with this nectar, that the flavor of this juice would be vastly different and they were not kidding. I chose a 0 nic version and this juice is straight kosher VG which I have never had straight VG before so I guess that is the attributing factor to the great flavor coupled with the subtank's great performance as well. I am using a Vamo V7 regulated mod for the power and set it at around 20 watts to suit my taste at this time. If any of you who are fairly new to vaping and wondering about trying a subtank for flavor, I highly recommend that you give a subtank some serious consideration. :2c:

Don't forget Velvet Cloud Vapor uses distilled water in their e-juices so it's thinner. I personally hated that part of their juice.

I agree though subtank is amazing. I bought the mini on Wednesday. I hated the OCC heads, they spit back a lot, but I used the RBA base and wicked it. I'm officially satisfied with the Subtank mini now. 0.6 ohms at 22 watts is perfect.

I use RTA's primarily, Lemos to be precise. I always have the same build, my happy place is 1.2 ohm coil running at 15 watts. Coil is spaced out a bit (around 1mm or so between wraps), and I find that gives me great flavor and vapor.

I noticed that the sub tank coils were also available in the 1.2 ohm variety. So, on a whim, I picked one up. First thing I noticed upon inspecting the coil was, hey their build looks like mine! Filled it with some juice and....wow. This thing is just leaps and bounds beyond any "cartridge" coil type atomizer I've ever used. IMHO it puts the Nautilus, Atlantis, and ProTanks to shame. The flavor is there, the vapor is there, the airflow is there.... It's really a great solution for those looking for "the RTA experience" without wanting to build. And if you ever do decide to try your hand at building, hey you have that option too! Though I will admit, I've not tried mine as a rebuildable yet.

To be clear, I'm not going to retire my Lemos for these, but they are a darn good alternative to have available.

The only problem I've run across is the availability of the 1.2 ohm coils. A lot of shops do not carry them. When I asked why I was told "nobody buys them, everyone wants to sub ohm".

I've got nothing against sub ohming, I run .3's on most of my drippers. I just don't need to sub ohm from a tank.... That's just my preference. Luckily the 1.2's are available online. I just hope Kanger doesn't drop them due to lack of demand....

What are your guys' thoughts on the Mini with the coils? I don't do rebuilding, but I'm looking for a larger tank versus my nautilus mini. I would appreciate some advice!

Not a bad vape, but I prefer it with the RBA section. Less spit back so less juice in my mouth. Only time I ever got a dry hit was using the OCC heads though.

Is the spit back extreme? My nautilus mini spits back a bit but with a non-nautilus wider bore drip tip I get much less in my mouth.

I cant speak for the Kanger Mini because I dont own one but the other tanks I own the spit back slows then stops as the coil gets broken in just like a RBA or RTA If you want to minimize that vape it for a couple of hrs at about 10W below what you normally would then bump it up to your preferd setting.

Well that thread took a twist. But just the same, I have had no issues with the 1.2 coil that came with the Nano at all. Now I have found several YouTube vids on how to rebuild the OCC's to a 1.0 Ohm build and even for a noob like me, it seems easy enough to try. I will rebuild the 0.5 coil that came with the Nano when I get the supplies. I am considering though getting a SubTank Mini just so I can get an RBA.

Congrats on finding your vape zone! Ain't nothing like it! :)

What did you wick your mini with?
