Hey guys, I don't see this mentioned a lot, but for me, the one thing I'd love to search out are liquids that almost confuse the sense between taste and smell. Anyone ever smell something (a food or whatnot) that smells like something else tastes?

In my case, I've always loved the smell of country-side tobacco curing and burning in barns (lived right next door to it), I like the smell of a freshly unwrapped cigar, or moist smell of a bag of pipe tobacco. I worked at the front counter of a Walgreens and I'd constantly nose-rape just about everything they sold!

Now, I've never had the pleasure of smoking a cigar that didn't taste like an ash tray or burning shoe polish, nor have I ever smoke a pipe. The closest I've ever tasted to real tobacco flavor (IMO) would be Marlboro Southern Cuts cigarettes, which, if you get them fresh, have a quite interesting taste of toasted leather (like a leather workshop) and toasted marshmellows.

Is there an e-juice out that really brings the deep tastes that would actually taste a lot like those old tobacco barns or packages of pipe tobacco smell? Thing is, I just don't think I'm into all the sweet, simple flavors that you see out there. I'd love to get my hands on a really complex, earthly tobacco vape!

I'm vaping on some Red Oak Tennessee Cured from Johnson Creek right now. I can't say that it tastes like a Marlboro Southern Cut (I really enjoyed those every once in a while when I still smoked) but I do like it a lot - the reason I'm vaping on it right now is because your thread made me think of it. I don't believe it's a NET - and the only NETs I have are steeping and haven't been tasted - so my opinion might change soon, but it's definitely my favorite tobacco vape so far. Check it out.

I guess one thing I've been worried about before I really dive into vaping is that the liquids don't really get complex no matter what. I'm the type of guy who dabs a bit of Jack Daniels on their wrist before they drink it to smell the aroma without the alcohol; it's something to smell just how woody and mossy Jack really smells. I know it's probably hard to transfer tastes into vapor, molecules being evaporated and heated, all that. I just really hope that liquids to reach out into that zone where there's more to note than something simply tasting like a Jones soda (haven't had the pleasure of tasting Jones' unique flavors like turkey) or some type of Jelly Bean. (actually, I've tasted some very complex Jelly Beans...)

Any less than Jelly Beans in standard, I'm not sure how long my interest would hold.

Like, had anyone tried that $5 Red Velvet or Strawberries and Cream carbonated wine from Walmart/Walgreens? With the Red Velvet, you can literally taste pure red velvet cake and pure butter cream icing; in the Strawberry, you taste sweet, non-medical strawberry and lovely silk cream. Best alcoholic beverages on the entire market (for $5!!!). Complex drink, all artificial flavors too. If they can do it with cheap Walmart wine, they can do it with e-juice! lol. Only bad thing about it is the carbonation makes the wine very strong (much more potent than its claimed %5) and puts you to sleep in 30 minutes. Great flavored stuff though.
