After exhaustive searching, i am thought to try and give this spot a try. And i know this is going to be very odd in asking, but i thought with all the Veterans maybe y'all may have heard of something like this, and i am also prepared to be told nothing like this existed before.

I understand that allergies to PG can include but not limited to things like slight irritation around the mouth/skin, coughing, and slight burning in the throat, also i understand some allergies to the flavors out there exist.

But i am wondering (and seeing as Doc's say i have a chemical imbalance, this is the only info i can go on), i am curious as to if juices with any hint of PG in it has been recorded as either/or: Raising a person's blood pressure, set them into a depressed mood, tightening in the chest, irritation and congestion of the sinuses, lower back pain in the right side, trouble's breathing, insomnia, and when you do sleep you wake up feeling drained and want to sleep some more?

I know there are symptoms to quit smoking, but coming up on month number three of vaping i would like to consider the fact i am over and done with any sort symptom of the above nature (after 25 years of smoking)

I have tried juices that are 70% pg/30% vg, 30% vg/ 70%pg, 50/50 mixes, 100% vg, and so far the only one i seem to be ok with is from honey ville vapers, (but seeing as they are in the USA, and shipping does take a long time here, and not knowing any other USA places for the same 100% VG it is getting a bit of a aggravation). I have heard horror stories of some who cannot vape (even though they want to), and honestly i am hoping that is mere urban legend, for it is true then i could be one of them? Or is it merely just the PG in all this that is no good?

Actual allergies to PG are exceedingly rare. What most people refer to as an allergy is actually just a chemical reaction to the products of PG metabolism. Some people are more sensitive to it than others. It's a far cry from a genuine allergy. I have had a couple of those symptoms myself and try to keep the PG content in my juice at about 30%. Any more than that and I sometimes get tightening of the chest and sinus irritation. But, I get that just from vaping a lot in any particular day as well, so who knows? For a year, I vaped only 100%VG in order to avoid those symptoms, but recently I've gotten more tolerant, or just more adventurous, and discovered that I can vape up to 50% PG without problems.

I seriously doubt that those symptoms would be caused by very small amounts of PG, as is contained in flavorings, unless you were one of those rare people who are genuinely allergic. PG is in so many food items, even toothpaste, that you'd almost certainly would have known, long before you started vaping, if you were allergic to it. Similarly, juices are usually made with food flavorings and people who are allergic to certain foods generally don't just discover an allergy after taking up vaping.

There are a lot of juice makers that offer 100%VG. Alien Visions is one that specializes in it. Personally, when I was vaping 100% VG, I found it easier to just make my own juice. That's something to consider.

As for people who just cannot vape, I think that's probably 95% urban legend, 4% overreaction by people who get all hysterical at the first sign of anything out of the ordinary with their health, and 1% truth. I'm probably over-estimating the truth part.

Get unflavored base in VG and PG from at least three different vendors.

Stick with each for four days, using only that single liquid.

At the end of this experiment you will know if it is PG or VG or specific vendor's offerings you cannot tolerate - if indeed this is related to vaping. Then you can start to introduce flavors and see if this creates any issues.

On the other hand you might consult your doctor to see if you have a thyroid issue or something similar, as it seems this can be exacerbated by cessation of smoking tobacco, and can produce all kinds of unusual symptoms that appear to be something else. Over-prescription of thyroid meds also produces these assorted, seemingly unconnected symptoms that are hard to identify the cause of.
