A wire question and an on/off switch question

So my fuses will be here Monday and I'm about to start building. Just wondering what gauge wires would be best for safety and for performance. Also, are some of the on/off switches available anywhere locally like Radio Shack or a hobby store? My box will be a dual 26650 with a mosfet. Thanks

i'm on the same path as you, about to build my first box. i've watched a couple of videos on it, and it seems like for the high voltage connections (battery), use 16 or 18 ga, and for the things like a master on/off switch, use 20 ga.

A FDV or Varitube 510 will take up to 14AWG
I'd recommend stranded for at least the first couple times you build; solid does not like to play nice!
16 or 18 AWG work, but will incur a little more V drop

Batt - fuse - MOSFET - 510 - master cut-off, use the thicker gauges, since they are carrying the big currents
Fire switch to MOSFET you can use around 24 AWG, since it's much smaller current (mA levels)
