This is only my personal opinion.
You have two e-cigs now that you are having issues with, and you've just ordered a third.
It's all a matter of technique in the beginning. E-cig's are no where
near smoking a regular cigarette. The style is completely different,
and each model has it's own technique.

No matter what model you decide on, you'll have to learn to use it.
The bashers will tell you that "This is better than that" - "This
has more problems than that" - "buy this" & "Buy that". Listen or
don't. It's your choice, but no matter what you have, you'll have,
to learn technique. Once you master how to drag, how much juice
to add, and how your unit works, you're on your way.

Learning is the key, and it takes some time. Many of us here will be
happy to help in the learning process. Just keep in mind that if you
spend #10.00 or $1,000.00, the device will give you trouble until you
learn to use it.

A Ferrari is no better than a Yugo if you don't know how to drive.

Cheers;

Nice,

Thanks for the advice everyone. I should be getting my Titan in the mail today. $35 from cignot, awesome site. I don't think it comes with a manual, I know it doesn't come in a box and that's why it's so cheap. Do I have to charge the batteries for 8 hours before first time use like the RN408 Super Mini? I think that's standard for all e-cig batteries but, I'm not sure. Again thanks for the pretty much unanimous suggestions, looking forward to trying the 501.

Video user guide here: (chose the Joye510 ones ;-)

Video : InnoVapor, The Finest in Personal Vaporizers

No need to charge 8 hours:

Charging lithium-ion batteries

And what I posted earlier about if it doesn't work out....

"I'll buy the kit from you for $25 after you've given it a shot. Just PM me."

..my word is good on that.

I know I'm relatively new here but will throw in my $.02. I haven't touched an analog since I bought my PV.
I personally purchased the Joye 501 as my 1st ecig after reading reviews on this site. I did the Pyramid Tea Bag mod and have experimented with e-juice.

I will say that e-juice can make or break your experience. I smoked 15 years and needed that heavy throat hit. Some juices do it an others don't. I know that each have their own preferences but play with some on your own before you go all out with the juice and find one that works for you. Personally, the Pina Colada from Rocky Mountain Vapors is the one that hits the hardest for me. It's might be really sweet tasting but hits you like a sledge hammer when you get a good draw on it.

Good luck and don't give up!

I'm happy you got it together.
I tend to try to keep new people away from the cart mods, and other tricks until they learn to use their e-cig.

Too many new people are being told to modify their e-cig before they have the hang of vaping. They have problems, and others jump in telling them they bought the wrong thing. It's a vicious circle.

Another satisfied 510er. Good to hear. Just curious, after Jim's comments about no mods... 'until they learn how to use their ecigs', with which I agree... just wondering how long did it take for you to learn how to use the 510?

Sounds like you're moving right along. Did you find it hard to get started, get enough vapor, not get juice in the mouth, etc. - ie. some of the more common complaints from certain other models? Do you find the manual button a nuisance or hard to get used to? Are you having to recharge batteries too often? Do you think that it may replace your cigarette habit? Curious...

I spent an entire day playing with the draw and priming it. I've learned that my 510 doesn't like the cart filled all the way up. 10 drops of the PTB shredded mod is perfect. For me, if I can hear the atty popping, I'm at the right draw. Otherwise I'm probably drawing too hard or long.

JD- I don't think anyone can go wrong with buying their 1st e-cig. No matter what they buy, they have made a decision to start a better life.
I was convinced that I could quit smoking with a PV so I followed much of what you and others have contributed here. I can't thank you enough!

    Somewhere between here and there
If you do go with the 510, I would recommend getting at least one extra battery. I have been using one for about 10 weeks or so and when the battery life gets a little shorter, I have three batts in rotation. Also, after you get used to vaping, you might want to take a look at the battery mod section. I recently made a box mod with a 510 connector and it has turned my 510 into a totally different unit. With the trustfire battery, I get huge vapor and throat hit compared to my 510 with standard batteries. It takes a little getting used to because you don't need to draw as long though. Anyway, good luck!

Agreed 100%. I'm just a firm believer of, "Learn it before you mess with it"

When I revisit PTB I'm going to try that style. First one -fully folded- didn't cut it. I still occasionally will flood the atty with 'one more drop' :) but a couple of huffs will pull it out of it.

I had to learn that the hard way as well. Fill it up but not to the point you need to dab some off. It's so much easier to refill than to get that mouthful of bitter juice when you flood the atty.

Slow and steady draw that doesn't give you the hissing noise of air is the key. I draw only hard enough that I can hear the atty "popping" from the juice. I swear by this method. It gives me a throat and lung hit like nothing I have ever felt before. Non-filtered analogs couldn't give me this sensation!

    Hello again,
I got my 510 a couple days ago and I love it. Charged up both the manual batteries and the thing produced massive plumes of vapor, it was awesome. Unfortunately, someone needs to learn me some knowledge. I'm really into electronics and kind of a computer geek so, it's hard for me to admit that I have little know-how of how to get these e-cigs working to their full potential. Like I said, the first night of use for the 510 was great. Now, however, I can't reproduce the same results. I'm not getting those plumes of vapor anymore. I refill and top off my carts, keep the batteries fully charged batteries, and still get weak vapor. I'm using Johnson Creek Arctic Mint, the stuff seem really thick. Could that particular juice be bogging down the atty? I'm using long controlled breaths when inhaling, I'm pretty sure I'm hitting it correctly. Everyone's advice has been great so far, please keep it coming! Thanks again.

Kent - Thanks for the link to the videos, they really helped.
JD - I absolutely agree with you about the RN4081. My Problem was maintenance. I cleaned the attys and they hit a lot better. The thing takes a little finessing but, when it works, it works pretty well.
