Sincerely need help to decide which way to go on this:

v6auto.png

Chris and I like the idea of this kit but as we started selling these we were honestly getting too many issues that Max was handing in CS. I am not sure if the issues were due to a genuine QC issue in China or just the nature of autos. Autos need a free stream of air so that auto activation works on an 'inhale'. Because of that they are not or cannot be 'sealed' like a regular battery. I am not sure if the returns are mainly user error with those not used to an auto being careful not to leak into the battery or what.

Have any of you bought this unit and are happy with it and have any advice from your own experiences in using it?

I would really be grateful for any feedback as we need to decide whether to keep carrying this product as we cannot sustain carrying a product with measureable return rates.

Well guys... I would say do not buy any more of them :(

I was so excited about this one... but after using it... I was very disappointed. The draw is way too tight... most of the time when I would draw on it, it didn't fire. I gave it a good run... but just couldn't get it to work properly.
Another problem I had with it, when I tried to clean it. I rinsed it out with warm water.. I had even plugged the air/charging hole. But it still some how got moisture in it and it caused it to fire constantly for several minutes. I haven't used it since. :(

I think the concept is great... but they need to go back to the design board with this one.

I apologize for the tardiness in my final followup... got detoured by a guy insisting he cut another hole in me.. man am I over that!

Sorry to say I'm definitely over my original love and feeling like a jilted sailor.

Dependability just isn't there. They are good, solid vape for a while, then they die (sadly, that's a short while.) The first casualty I thought was my fault and bought another. The second casualty I deconstructed and found that the power plug was separated from the board (very light tack weld on either side.) I thought I might search for the switch, but haven't had the chance.

They don't leak on the outside, but there is seepage into the electronics and its virtually impossible to clean - even removing the bottom cap and board.

I've tried resurrecting them in the rice, which works initially. Used contact cleaner, alcohol, and anything else to bring them back, but they usually die during the first refill with a false trigger or won't charge properly and overheat.

All in all, 3 V6s have died on me. I love the concept, but the construction/design is flawed. There needs to be more isolation between electronics and juice (or at least a better seal on the boards), Better equity with battery mah/juice volume, A longer life span before catastrophic failure.

In the mean time I've switched to the SD Keyring 650mah Auto and have had no problems with it. I'm now convinced that a dependable auto is a valuable part of the arsenal and I'm still trying to find something like a spinner auto at 650mah. Tuning the coil is fine, but adjusting the voltage is much more efficient.

I feel bad to read these stories but to be honest you don't know how valuable it is for us and very grateful for the feedback. I reported to the company that there were issues with sealing on the unit and they just assumed it was user error even though we have carried autos before without those problems to the extent.

We'll keep on the lookout for a solid auto...maybe next one we bring in we will put it in alpha...

Thanks Danno, That's really good to hear.

I'm convinced that the problem is with the air path design. Using the screw on head will invariably create a weep situation from what I've seen happening. Air comes in the bottom, across the boards, up the battery tube, and across the coil. If you have a drop weep or a build up of compensate it's going to drop out the bottom. When I first got them I figured there was a designed isolation to keep that from happening, but after popping the bottom and finding juice, I've got to figure it's coming down the air channel. Sad really, the V6 really turned me on to autos... what I would never try because of the horror stories on some of the older ones I now find I can't live without.

The one I've got now is just a straight, sealed tube with a pressure switch and a 510 connector. Very simple design compared to the V6. Yes, I've had weeps from the Ravens and Evods I've used on it, but a simple wipe and it's gone. It may be that the V6 is just over-designed. And the idea does look neat!

Be sure to tell them we don't want any juice on our batteries or our boards... these are a cleaning nightmare! ... looking forward to see what you find!

I was tempted but never ordered one so I can't give any feedback on this particular device. With that said, I've been vaping for well over three years now and would LOVE to see an automatic vv/vw device of any kind, eGo or full size. There's nothing like hands free vaping!

I'll admit, I find the small size to be most handy for my use. I'm not sure I could hold a Vamo in my teeth... well... not without a lot of dental bills anyway. :D

Size wise I find mine hard to use hands free. I don't like having to really bite down on the mp to keep it in my mouth. I have notice that like vivi novas and other long wick tanks you will need to tip it and let the juice saturate the coil end from time to time as the level in the tank goes down. I have also noticed that there is an excessive amount of condensation collecting in the mp - sot sure if this is because of the mp design or what not but I don't really get this in most of my other setups. I have not had any problems with the auto switch as of yet but due to the nature of the beast keeping it sitting upright (to avoid any leaking from the coil end) seems to me that eventually something will end up dripping down the air path to the switch. It also has a much tighter draw than anything else I am using right now - enough so that I am finding it is almost too tight. Perhaps this could be remedied by installing a different head but I have been getting good mileage with the one it came with. It does however seem to hold an almost insane amount of juice. But not something I really would go out and buy but since I won mine in a contest no worries there. I have also notice that if the wicks are twisted around the center post in a spiral it cam become difficult to get the juice fully to the coil as air can get trapped by the wick preventing the juice from getting all the way to the coil end.
So far not a bad device but for sure not one of my goto everyday vapes...
