Ok, so I'd like to thank all of you for your time in advance :D. I am fairly new to vapeing (been doing it for about 2 years), and about a year ago I started coming to this site. I began reading all the success stories people have had and from reading, I gathered that the general consensus is that EVERYONE on here absolutely LOVES vapeing. Well, sadly for me, it is the EXACT opposite. I have tried and tried and tried to enjoy vapeing. I have paid for several different PV's from the JOYE-510 to Smoke51 Duo and every single time it is the SAME horror story. It arrives in the mail, I get all excited thinking "WOOHOO this time I am FINALLY gonna enjoy this!" I fill up the cart with some JC 24mg(rpg mix) juice, I start to inhale and almost as soon as I put the thing in my mouth I'm throwing it on the ground in a fit of rage because the damn thing has left the back of my mouth feeling singed as well as my tongue. It is the most vile feeling as well as taste and I'm not even sure it's the juice I'm tasting or burnt poly fill. So, my question to you guys is WHAT can I do to fix this? How do I make vapeing a pleasant experience instead of one that leaves me VERY angry and feeling cheated out of my money? Would upgrading to a PV like the Volcano Inferno make for a better experience? Would changing my juice from JC to something like Halo, or a combination of the two make it better? Any suggestions you guys could possibly make would be great because I'm about to throw all of this out the window and go back to smoking analogs.

PS: Sorry if there is a hundred different posts just like this

First... blow out your new atomizers. They come with an icky fluid on them to keep them moist while they are stored/shipped. Blow it out completely. Or go ahead and give it a nice thorough cleaning. Drop it in hot (just off boiling) water (better yet, read up from someone who knows how to clean one).. let it dry overnight OR use a blowdryer (don't let it get TOO hot) for 5 minutes. Blow through it until you're sure it's dry. Then drip a few drops of your liquid on the atomizer. Fill your cart and try again.

If you get the same bad burnt taste... Your liquid is bad. If you've been using the same bottle of liquid for two years, it's definitely time to toss it. I would suggest checking out one of my 3 flavor vendors: myfreedomsmokes, freedomsmokeusa, or gourmetvapor. GV has a GREAT sale right now, use the code gv40 to get 40% off your order. Get several different flavors in small bottles and different nicotine levels so you can find what works for you. Try different levels of VG and PG in them.

It's likely a combination of nasty atty primer and bad, bad liquid. It's also possible your nicotine content is too high.

Good luck -- I know this can be frustrating.. But every PV is different, every liquid is different, and every person is different. You just need to find the right combo for you!!

When I first started vaping, the vapor hit me hard. I could feel the burn in my chest for the first few vapes, and I still have burning from some juices. Actually, max ultimate from Vaporbomb consistently gives me that feeling and it is my morning vape (ok, today it has been an all day vape because I just got some more after running out) and it really works for me when I would traditionally have an analog. I'm guessing from your post, it's probably the juice, if you are consistently using the same juice. Vapor Renu has virtually no throat hit and the vapor is very "light" compared to many other vendors. I would also recommend going with VG because it is not as harsh as PG.

I have noticed, for myself, when I use a cartomizer, no matter the juice, it is warmer on my throat than carts or dripping.

O sorry guys! im super tired so i forgot to mention some things, im using cartomizers so im not sure if i can do a dry burn with those or blow em out or anything, and the mix im using for johnson creek is pretty much all VG with a bit of PG in it

If you are using cartomisers it sounds like they're are dry. How many drops of juice are you putting in before you vape? With my 510 Boge cartos, I'm getting 32-35 drops in a new carto and refill when I get a slight taste change. The refill usually takes 20-25 drops.

No, you can't dry burn a cartomizer, it will burn the filler. It sounds like you may not have enough juice in the carto. Try removing the top cap and looking inside. If the filler looks dry, it is. It should look almost slushy if it's full.

Edit: And there clark and I go, following each other around again.

Headin to bed and really couldn't read any previous posts (bout to pass out...eyes are blurry...LOL), so don't know what's already been covered, but if you have any friends that are currently vaping, successfully, ask if you can take a few puffs from their set-up. This will give you a quick answer to "is it me?" or if it's your hardware. Keep in mind that cartomizers hold a lot more juice than you may think (some typical 510 style cartos can easily be up to 30 standard drops when new). Also, after filling the carto give it a few minutes for the core to fully wick the juice in.

i am not exactly sure what make my cartos are but they are for the Smoke51 DUO (i know, worst e-cig in the world but ive misplaced my 510 so its what im working with currently) i basically just take the rubber cap off the top and drip into it pressing the dropper up against the walls of the carto, i made the mistake of over filling it, it was like almost pouring out of the carto and even then it still didn't make a difference once i blew out all the excess and let it sit for a bit

I don't know the Smoke51 DUO but the fill has to have liquid all the way through.

If you're dripping the liquid from the top, make sure it's getting all the way through the fill. There is two ways that I use to help this, 1. flick the carto a couple of times to force the liquid through the fill to the threaded end or 2. the Teryn spin as shown in the link below.

The link shows the way that I fill my cartos.

YouTube - A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin.

Hope this helps.

try vaping just pure glycerin -- you can get it from mordor (walmart) for about $3 -- it's actually really fun to vape because it tastes nice and has ZERO throat hit (while simultaneously putting out TONS of vapor) -- so you can take your juices and in an empty bottle put a little of your juice in, then keep adding glycerin, mixing it up and vaping it to test until you get the mixture that provides the throat hit you like -- that's the simplest way to do it

ok so clark i tried the carto condom trick, think i should of let it sit a bit longer then i did tho because i got a bunch of the liquid in my mouth lol BUT that aside i think its progress! :D, i did it and once i let it sit for a while (an hour) i tried it and it was a bit better but not quite how i wanted it so i decided to try the spin method and after doing that the throat hit is almost IDENTICAL to a analog and i think once i just kinda rest from it a bit and come back tomorrow it will be MUCH more enjoyable, you guys seriously i cant thank you enough for all of you're helpful suggestions but i think between these tricks and ordering some new juice from another company it will be the exact experience i was hoping for. I am really really excited!!! :D

just another quick question while i have everyone here. i know that the JOYE-510 is a pretty decent PV but unfortunately i have seemed to of lost mine during the move so all i have now is a Smoke51 Duo, what i am wondering here is if upgrading to a new PV like the Volcano Inferno would enhance my experience and provide me with the smoothest throat hit and getting the most flavor out of my juice or do those two factors not really have anything to do with it at all??..mostly just wondering because i've been eyeing the inferno for some time now

I would also suggest trying an attomizer. Everyone has different favorites and mine is atties with a drip tip, I get a cleaner taste this way and some of the cartos I have tried seemed too hot for me. I also agree with the above post that suggests finding another vaper in your locality and asking for their help.
i will definitely try to find a vaper in my area, that is a fantastic idea and one that might not be to differcult :D

Nahawa, glad you're getting it sorted.

I find after filling that if I hold a tissue over the threaded end and 'wrist-flick' the carto that forces the liquid to the threaded end of the fill and removes any excess liquid from the tube part of the carto. (Hope that makes sense!)

With upgrading your PV, the Inferno looks fine but I haven't tried one. I used an eGo/Riva combination with 510 cartos. I've got eGo 650 & 900mah and Riva 750mah plus an eGo passthrough and that does me fine.

Good luck!!
