I smoked about a pack a day for .. ever. My headache has knocked down to a head-irritation so thats better :) I have been looking into upgrading my batteries- when I get the cabbage up- I have the kgos now, and since I know nothing (really) about this I figure better battery better experience.. right? :) I was considering the Vamo, I think that price range is doable. All I know is I'm throwing these novas away as soon as the cartos get here! I loved them so much at first, now I want to punch them in the jeans.

Just put them in a box. You never know when you will want to try them again, or PIF! I thought I would throw my Blu kit in the garbage, thought better of it, passed it on to someone who LOVES it. Go figure... one person's trash is another person's ...

Hi "WeedyBroccoliBee" . . .

Listen, If I maybe so bold to say - without a doubt - I do not have AN ANSWER FOR "YOU" . . . Nor can I eliminate the confusion, frustration, nor your anxiety . . . Nor can I tell you what to get nor what will work for you, especially since there are already so many people who will . . .

However, what I will say to "You" as someone who has experienced what you are going through (even wanted to quite trying this as a solution) and still am going through a lot . . . YES - I AM STILL ADDICTED TO CIGARETTES AND A SMOKER (just not as much - used to be 2 1/2 - 3 sometimes 4 PAD especially if it was a BAD DAY - Now about 2 PAD) . . . AND - At times - I am also still Confused, Frustrated, and have Anxiety issues to deal with . . .

Particularly, trying to find the one Flavor of "E-Juice" that will work for "ME" (and boy if I told you how frustrating that one is with all the many different liquids I have tried in over a year - and still cannot find nothing yet that I can say is an all day vape for "Me" - we would be here all day) . . .

More importantly, there is still even the confusion, frustration, and anxiety with all the different pieces of equipment that are available that both WORK and DO NOT WORK for different people . . . 510, KR808's, "eGo" KGos', Twist, PV, Mod, APV, etc just to name a few . . . Batteries 1400's 1800's etc . . . . Batteries that die all of a sudden for no reason. . . Then Atties, Cartomizers, Clearomizers, Tanks, especially those that crack and leak all over the place . . . OHM, Voltage, Watts, etc. . . . Then there are the Vendors that re-branded everything to make it seem like their's is the only one out there - The Best - The More Improved Model . . . IT IS AND CAN BE MADDING - to say the least . . .

BUT - The one thing you should reconsider is sticking with it, even if you are still around smokers . . .

Personally, when I started over a year ago I had no intention at all to quite smoking - all I wanted to do was lessen "My" addiction and and dependency on cigarettes . . . BUT- That has all changed for "Me" since then and since I joined the ECF Community - I now want and know I will eventually quit smoking cigarettes . . .

When I started the "Transition into the Vaping World" here on ECF - I began with a Cigarette looking device (A Halo G6 and then moved over to the Smokeless Image Volt - which is the one I still use and enjoy using to this very day) - and I have moved back and forth to newer more improved models (that really were not an improvement at all and some that actually were - I now also use a Box MOD, VTube, and an "eVic" now with View Valley Vapes' Tanks, which thankfully most of these I won in contest here on ECF since I cannot afford to purchase them because I am on disability) . . . AS for "e-Juices" - the good thing is - I also Thankfully, have found a few that have been very helpful . . . AND - An EFC Friend who DIY's is currrently working with 'Me" to develop an "E-Juice" to my specifications and what I want and need . . . :D

SO all I am trying to say here is - IMO - The important thing and What you need to know is - that if you really want to quit and break this addiction to smoking cigarettes - it is going to take some time - just like it was when you started smoking cigarettes . . . JUST - Stick With IT - because you will find all the support that you will ever need right here in the ECF Community, especially if you just need to talk . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

All "My" Best To "YOU" and GOOD LUCK

EDIT: BTW - When You reach enough post to leave the New Members thread - there is a thread about withdrawal symptoms and reactions to vaping that you might want to check out . . . Hopefully someone will find it and post for ya' here . . .

Hello Weedy!
I have been a pack a day smoker for over 35 years, and was recently introduced to a previously owned Tornado (I think that was what it was...) by a friend who paid it forward to me. From that moment I have been a convert - my favorite juices being Totally Wicked Tutti Fruity and Dr Pipper. Luckily I have had no problem (except for juice leakage while the gizmo is in my pocket, but since I drive steam trains for Disney the costume is easily cleaned). I have since bought a Tornado Twister kit for my wife and am trying to wean her off the 2 packs a day she was on (with positive results so far).
Anyway, apologies for the rambling, what I wanted to say was this - hang in there. And as for ending up with stuff you don't use anymore... you could do worse than to offer it to a poor sap (like me) that takes to it with little issues. My final pack of smokes stayed in my pocket for 4 weeks...

I can't help it! My moods are all over the map lately, and this is just TOO much !

Just saw this - If "YOU" want to talk about "MOOD SWINGS" . . .;)

Let's just say - I have already been know to be a "B* * * *" by all "My" RL Friends and Family . . .

So - a "MOOD SWING" NOW IS NOTHIN' . . . especially with what happened when I tried to stop smoking with the patch and other stop smoking cessaation "drug" programs . . .

HECK - Besides all the confusion, fraustration, and anxiety . . . there is the anger, irratability, depression, agressivness, indignant, infuriated, resentful, uneasy, embarrashed, hesitant, shy, disillusioned, indecisive, and being quickly annoyed at the littlest of thing - like someone saying Hello or wanting to give you a Kiss . . .

YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT GOING FROM a "NICE PERSON" (well most of the time ) to being a "B' in 1.2 Second flat - Come on over to "My" Place (Oh and BTW: the "Drugs" I'm on and being "OLD" don't help either ;)) - I'll Show You "MOOD SWINGS" - Just Sayin' . . .

Also this is very "Normal" - particularly when anyone is going though this type of change, be it from years of a habit or from chemical dependancy . . .

Heck - I'm a "Behavioral Modification Counselor" and worked/volunteered in a Women's Health Clinic for a number of years - Talk about "Mood Swings" - H E DOUBLE LL - "PMS" - Pregnancy - Pre/Para Menopause, etc. . . .

AND - What killed "ME" is the Men that went through the same type of symptoms and never understood or grasped the concept that they can and do experience "MOOD SWINGS" too . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

I will most likely give all the batteries I have to someone once I get something else. I have to use them at the moment because I don't want to go back to smokes.. I haven't slipped yet, which I'm pretty proud of:)

well, I'm depressed, and extremely moody. I came here and got things off my chest, and feel much better about things. I know I'll get through this rough spot.I've been busy making mass amounts of lemon aid with my lemons.
Its nice to know that I have support here, and I am thankful for it.

One thing about the Boge cartos. Make sure they are saturated before using. If you think it is full, let it sit for a bit and add some more. Even if you are going to use it in a tank.

As you can see if you look, I have been here for awhile and I still struggle. I truly do. And I know it is frustrating when you can't afford something that you think will help you quit. But keep at it and people here will do whatever they can to help.

Also, and I may get flak for this, but if you smoke, do not get down on yourself. It happens. I think people are ashamed to come on ECF and admit they did (or do) and then think they are a failure. I still smoke but I have cut down a great deal and for now, I have to be satisfied with that. One day I hope to be off cigs completely but as I said, I do struggle.

Good luck.

I hope the cartomizers work out for you. I tried the wick style "clearomizers" and while I'd like them at first...things went south fast and now I won't mess with them at all. I use cartomizers (with a bottom feeder) or carto tanks exclusively atm. And while I do sometimes get one that tastes odd or burnt right out of the box, and sometimes get one that doesn't last worth a flip, by and large I'm very happy. Luckily cartomizers are cheap and easy to replace. Also they can be cleaned, if you are up to the extra effort. No leaking, no cracking...easy to fill and switch out. Great flavor. What is not to like?

Anyway, that's my experience, and I hope you find that your new Boge cartos will make you feel much more positive about things. Keep in mind the advice to be SURE you prime those cartos! Get 'em good and saturated! If you find they are working out for you, consider investing in a bottle(s) that take a luer lock lid so you can attach a needle and use that for topping off and refilling. MUCH more efficient than other methods...and you can fill and go "on the fly". Even in a car!

You know, I haven't seen much mention of it, but I went through a lot of anxiety & depression about a month in to vaping - not what I'd describe as withdrawal, it was something else/more. I honestly think I've been using cigarettes to self-medicate an underlying condition for years (I think there's actual research to back this up). In any case, I decided to try a low dose anti-depressant. While waiting for it to kick in, I had my first cigarette in 2 months, because if I didn't, I was going to curl up in the fetal position and either hyperventilate or cry until I stopped breathing. Contrary to what most will say, it was WONDERFUL, and my anxiety & depression lifted almost instantly. I smoked for 2 weeks (until I could feel the Celexa working), then started slowly transitioning back to vaping again. I dropped to 4 cigs a day in less than a week. In a little over a month, I'm down to one or analogs a day, and I really don't want them - I think I'm just afraid my head will get bad again if I stop completely again. I reckon it will sneak up on me one day soon that I "forgot to" several days ago, and then I'll be completely quit. I've also been using the transition to fine tune my juice & delivery systems to find that perfect combination. And in the meantime, a lot of those ciggy habits have been replaced with vaping habits, almost without my noticing the change.

I know a lot of people say they "picked it up right away & never looked back" (lucky bastages), but your frustration is very common & normal. I knew the potential was there from the first vape, but here I am, 5 months in to this, and I'm just starting to feel as "comfortable" (for lack of a better word) with vaping as I was with smoking. This place has been instrumental in helping me get there.
Do whatever you need to do, in whatever way you need to do it, as long as you stay pointed in the right direction. Best of luck!!!

LOL. I suspect that there are many who have not been that lucky but are afraid to admit it. Frankly, sometimes having to mess with and tweak all this stuff gets me so ...... off that if I don't have a cig, something will go flying out a window.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - don't know where you are in Georgia, but if you're anywhere near Chattanooga, there's the Scenic City Vapers Club - we meet every other month. Great folks, great doorprizes - at the last meet we had well over 100 people. We're lead by Dimitris Agrafiotis, aka the Vaping Greek if you watch any vape TV on the internet. The only bad thing is the club is HQ'd on Facebook, lol!

I live in "small town" Dallas Ga. so that would be a drive, but I might could work it out. I would have to get back on facebook I guess.
I didn't know there was a Vape Tv, what exactly is it?

I'm in Dalton, so yes, it's a bit of a drive (more for you than me), but it's loads of fun. Here's a highlight of the shenanigans from the last one: Harlem Shake - Vaper's Edition - YouTube. If you don't want to get back on FB, I could always PM you when we've got the May date confirmed.

And what is vapetv? Oh lord, you haven't gotten very far down the rabbit hole just yet, have you? Search the term on youtube, if you've got several YEARS to kill.

I have to say that for me, the only thing that kept me from quitting is an ECF friend who sent me a variable volt he no longer used. As soon as I upped the voltage it made a world of difference to me. It was like night and day. That doesn't mean you have to but if you can, get a VV to try.

Does a KGO charger work with an e-go twist? Anyone????
