I'm currently 23 years old and I've smoked steadily since I was 15. Over the past year or two I've wanted to quit smoking and I tried patches and different things, but the fact remained that I genuinely enjoy the act of smoking. I tried a couple over the counter disposable ecigs which helped me cut back but was just as expensive, if not more than smoking itself. I then bought a Blu ecig starter kit, for some reason it didn't help much so looked online and purchased a Halo G6 ecig. It worked for a couple days, but again didn't feel like it kept the craving away of an actual cig(learned they are being analogs). Well I've decided to give it another shot and actually commit and purchase a quality setup. A friend of mine has a Kanger Protank and joyetech EVic and he said he absolutely loves it so I did some searching and have ran to this website. Let me start off by just saying WOW there is so much information and different setups that I was unaware even existed. I'm now on the hunt for a quality setup and will commit to quitting analogs once and for all.

Welcome! I wish you luck. Ecf is very helpful. Might I suggest checking out YouTube and looking at reviews of devices, that way you can get a sense of what might work for you. Good device to start with is an ego, you can get then pretty cheap on fast tech, but there are lots of places that have quality, cheap options.

Yep... You have come to the right place. Do some research then come back here with questions. As said before You Tube has some great reviews on batteries, tanks, juice etc. I started with a ego twist 650mah. A Vision Vivi Nova, and a couple of different juices. Now I have about seven different juices in rotation and 5 tanks. Lots of info will follow so I will keep it short. Good luck, and Welcome!

I got my first eGo setup 5 days ago. Now I have 2 eGo batteries, 5 clearomizers (two of which I got for free from my awesome e-juice dealer), and 4 flavors of juice (one of which I came up with myself and my awesome e-juice dealer made for me). So all in all, I've probably spent more on this than I would have on cigarettes this week (I hate calling them "analogs" because I hate thinking of my vaporizer as an "electronic cigarette"). But, with what I have right now, I don't have to buy anything else for at least two weeks! ...but I still might since I'm experimenting with flavors. :)

My point is that starting is relatively cheap. I got my vaporizer and a bottle of tobacco-flavored juice that can last me a week for less than $30. But since I was smoking a pack/day, I would have been spending over $35/week on cigarettes anyway. I'm very happy the guy I went to talked me out of getting the Blu starter kit. There are so many advantages and opportunities for experimentation with an eGo battery and clearomiser. I kicked the cigarettes immediately and haven't had an irresistible craving yet. I hope your switch goes as easily. :)

Welcome to ECF, and congrats on giving vaping another try! I quit a 30 year pack a day habit with the Ego Twist and Kanger T3 setup, and it's worked great for me. Just be sure to include a backup battery and delivery device in your purchase so you'll always have one ready to go! Good luck to you, and don't hesitate to post any questions you may have.

Cheers and happy vaping :toast::vapor:
