in my personal experience it doesn't matter what did or did not happen, you can't trust her now and it's better to move along.

Yep. I had a wife like that. I could never prove it and it just ate at me. We broke up for other reasons but years later I found out my "trust issues" were valid.

I am 61 and have the advantage of age and both good and bad relationships. I can tell you that accusations without fact will lead to the destruction of a relationship no matter how much you think you love someone. Make sure you have the facts before you plunge into the inevitable drama that is bound to happen under your current frame of mind. Sit back, make a list of things that you believe point to the truth about whether or not your girlfriend is cheating, and see where the facts lead you. People are not born to dwell in relationships that are based upon constant accusations and mistrust. I would rather live alone forever than have to constantly explain myself. I have been in one of these relationships in the past, and it was that very issue that destroyed it. For the record, I have NEVER cheated on anyone. I have, however, been accused and harangued for no good reason. You need to work on finding a way to build your self esteem so that the trust issue does not ruin this or future relationships. If she is cheating, and the facts are indisputable, end the relationship, but make sure you have the facts first.

In principle I don't want to agree with this; but in practice it's the right call 95% of the time. The only real exceptions would be if the lack of trust is entirely misplaced (i.e. a pathological problem with the person not being able to trust anyone), or in the instance of two people who have been together for so many years that even an indiscretion can genuinely be repaired, but again these are exceptions.

lol i wish my trust issues were because of a low self esteem they'd be allot easier to fix, they're because of other reasons i really don't wanna talk about... but ya i don't know i know it's wrong to accuse her without knowing but at the same time she straight lied to me about it, weather she cheated or not that in itself pisses me off. we talked about it more last night because i knew she wasn't sleeping and it was bugging me, ended up just telling her i needed to sleep on it and talk about it the next day. then i woke up to her leaving and now i don't know, im gonna see her in a little while probably and talk to her about it more

When a woman once asked me for some space, I gave it to her and closed the door. At your age, its the time to play and play hard. When your in your thirties, its the time to settle for one woman but not before. You have alot of time and girls to play with in your twenties, enjoy many women. Sorry you are feeling bad, but you will get over it real fast. I wish I was in my twenties again. I'd do it all the same way.

LOL tell that to my parents. They're still married and call themselves "boyfriend and girlfriend" even though they're in their fifties. Here's the great part: My mom got married to my dad at 16! Girls her age went to prom and she was getting married! My dad was 22 when they got married. Talk about going against the "statistics!"

If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't. Being in a stable relationship when your young is hard enough. being in an unstable on is even worse. There is always better out there. After 14 years of marrage mine is almost finished. Trust me you will survive. get out while you can before kids, house payments, credit card bills, all become part of the seperation. Without trust there is no love, and vice versa. You need to get out find out who you really are and become happy with yourself, I'm not talking about happy being you, I mean happy to be just by yourself or with good friends. Then and only then will the right one show their face bro. Just my 2cents.

So right. You cannot be happy with someone else until you are happy with and by yourself. I have never understood why we rush into relationships just to be a part of a couple. The drama is something I never miss about being young. Wish I had understood it way back then.

So i found out my girls been talkin to an old friend... A special friend.. im sure you can figure out what that means. Shes been lying to me sayin he just texted her but she never talked to him or anything. Confronted her on it a little but ago n she really couldn't keep a str8 story. Dunno if im over reacting givin my trust issues or if im right to think what im thinking. Im young and only been able to trust one woman I've been with so it's hard to know when im thinking right or not. But smoked one cigarette so far thinkin about going outside to chain smoke to try and drown out some stress and get away from her because she's laying right next to me pretending she's asleep

You do the same thing I did for 2 years. I don't try to be mean you are a great guy but I tried to quit smoking for 2 years and you know what always brought me back to smoking? Excuses. I had a hard day at work, I have exams, I can't go to the toilet excuses over excuses over excuses. I did not understand it myself I needed my gf to straighten my head and she was right whenever I tried to quit I came up with an excuse to "justify" my right to smoke a cig.

Your story is of course very sad and I am sure you work it out but it should not be an excuse to smoke.

All the best buddy hang in there you got this.

Hey dude .. I know you've seen this discussed before. If you need to smoke have one. Or two. Like the day at the lake when you didn't have a battery. Then pick up the vaping again.

Don't beat yourself up. That's the beauty of vaping. Just my opinion and you've heard it before.

You hang in there.
