Absinthe..... Ever Tried to Vape what you're eating or drinking at the same time? :(

So I'm an Absintheur, ok? Fountains, countless Pontarlier glasses and a HUGE collection of spoons... I love the stuff.

July 4th weekend, on the way to a party on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain, I stopped off with some friends and went to the French Quarter in New Orleans. We went to the Pirate Bar (next to the cathedral), since I knew they served the 'Green Fairy', and I'd just received some of Totally Wicked's Absinthe vape.

I was so jazzed up to be drinking it and vaping it at the same time... but I was sadly disappointed. Had to switch to 555. Seems that the vape was so close to the real thing, (and, if you drink absinthe you know how strong it's flavor is), I couldn't taste it! A sip of absinthe, and the vape tasted like nothing!

Anyone else ever have the same issue? Like, eating a snickerdoodle, then trying to vape the same flavor only to be disappointed?

Hmm, weird. I love Absinthe(Too Much lol). I have some LA anise and some other flavors to try and make my own. Won't be drinking some anytime soon, hopefully I can get the taste right. I'll remember not to drink, while vaping the stuff.

I kind of know what you mean...I can't vape certain things with my nightly glass of dry red wine. Maybe it's to do with the alcohol muting out certain flavours or even changing them.

I envy you your love of absinthe. I wanted to love it so much when I tried it. But it's just like green Nyquil to me, and I can't stand it. It bums me out because I think it's so "mad, gothic poet" and I wish I could drink it.

Only about five spoons/glasses sets. I love the bottles too! I had a nice collection of the bottles, but when I moved I had too ditch them. Just couldn't keep EVERYTHING. Ya know?
