I was refilling an empty cart with a lower-nic hybrid with a few drops of VG mixed in for better vapor, and I forgot to put back the little clear round plug before I capped it and started vaping.

It has fabulous flavor and throat hit, comparable to the higher-nic.

Has anyone else done this? What is the actual purpose of that clear plastic thing? I always assumed that it was what made the atomizer work, but I now know that's not what it's for.

Any ideas?

From what I can tell, pretty much what everyone else has said, helps to keep juice out. The carts I use at home on my passthrough that I'm gonna be refilling a lot I've actually ripped off both the cap and the inner rubber o ring and I've cut a hole in some of the cart condoms and slip that on the end, basically just tailpiping it.

I think I'm going to try that. I haven't had any problems with it so far re: juice numbing my mouth or anything like that. Maybe the VG made a difference there by making it a bit thicker?

Anyway, I'm still vaping it and it is really outstanding!

I like that expression: "tailpiping it"
