Decided to take a long hot soaking bath today. When I do this I usually take a soft drink, cigarettes (now a Chuck) leave hot water on slow trickle and just relax.

While getting in the tub (all the above items are placed on bathtub edge), I knocked my Chuck into the tub with me. I quickly dove in to save my buddy from drowning. I got there just in time. No CPR was required, but just a couple of pats on the back and putting it on a towel and drying it off.

I was hesitant to try the Chuck as I figured the swimming would have gotten into the atty and switch and I was Chuck out of luck. Well, took a draw anyway and my Chuck did not disappoint, heavenly vapor!

I have already had several mishaps involving dropping my Chuck on the floor, etc. but it seems to survive each time.

Well, my Chucks are very precious to me as well and when i was up in the mountains a few months back, we went for a drive into town. I couldnt decide which Chuck to use, so i brought them both. When got outta the car, I had one Chuck in hand. The other fell outta my lap :( onto the gravel, then I STEPPED on it! Didnt mean too, esp since it was the BRAND nEW one!!! but all was good, a tiny nick in the paint but was tiny tiny....so tiny I dabbed it w clear nail polish and it hasnt ever been seen since :) Whew, good thing these things are tough!

My mom dropped hers on her cement driveway once, atty side down. The cart was a gonner, atty and chuck were free on any blemishes, still lookin like day 1!!!

I love my chucks :D

Nice save Web...

I fear for my Chuck's safety second only to my child. I have had no "OMG, did I break it?" moments yet....thank god. But I know I will eventually.

If I leave it alone in a room, even for a second, I lay Chuckie on his side so the cats don't knock him off the table. And at night I toss my clothes purposely at the floor of my nightstand as a cushion should Chuckie get knocked off in the middle of the night.

How funny. I have been tossing my clothes on the floor for as long as I can remember. Little did I know I was just practicing up for chuck/cat ownership.

I am glad to hear that chucks survive well. When I was 14 I was riding my horse and took a really bad fall as a result I lose feeling in my right arm and hand all the time. I have to replace kitchen glass and plates at least twice a year do to breakage. So this is one of the reasons I hesitated on a chuck and got something else. I did not want to ruin something that would look that good.

Let me start out by saying that this is NOT a slam against anyone else's mod.

When cruising thru the FSBO thread, I came across someone selling their mod, talking about how they had always kept it protected, wrapped in swaddling clothes, but it had 1 small scratch on the bottom, no idea how it got there. I cracked up. My KLC (first) chuck has been intimate with the floorboard in my car, tile on my floor and every square inch of my feedbag sized purse. It has even survived great dane tails. It doesn't have a single ding or scratch on it...looks brand new. When I said these things are built like a tank, I meant it.

I'm at work. Had my little chuck standing on end. I accidently bumped it. It fell cart first and landed straight up and down. The cart was demolished. It broke into several little pieces and drove the top of the cart with the hole in it into the top of the atomizer. Well, the atomizer is fine and my little chuck is working like it never happened. Tough little guy.;)
