I had an Ali'i for less than a year and it caught fire. The circuitry shorted and it sparked out and smoked up until I kicked it off my table to knock the batts out. This happened barely a month after Kaji went missing.
Shortly after I saw that AceOfVapes was doing mod repair and you just sent it in and they quoted a price. I just replaced my Ali'i with a mod from the classifieds and decided against it because I didn't know the vendor and I was already very very angry at the amount of money I spent on my Ali'i and all the problems I had with it even before it shorted out.
I fell off the wagon for a while and when I got back to vaping a while ago I decided to look and lo and behold AceOfVapes had a mod repair option just for the Ali'i. I put together the $37 for it and sent it in. I opened a support ticket to ask what the process was for repair, how long, and if I would get updates.
Someone named Angela answered me very kindly that it usually takes a day and she would let me know. Turns out I didn't even need to ask. They received it on a Saturday, mailed it out on Monday, I received it Wednesday by priority mail, and I couldn't be happier.
They reattached the bottom plate for me (which came loose and off completely without me dropping it), glued one of the magnets back in that had come loose, and replaced all the electronics. It looks great and works like a charm.
They're a great company and I'm so glad there's such a good supplier out there that also does such excellent repairs.
If you have a broken Ali'i or other mod don't hesitate to have them look at it!
