My understanding is when the P2.5 was released it increased the amp limit to 3.5a. I wont wager my life on it though. :)

And yes, I will realize some resistance fluctuations too. Not so much with 28 gauge but definitely with 30 gauge. Never could figure that out. Sometimes it would fluctuate up and then return to the original level. Sometimes it would gradually increase over time. My 28 gauge builds stay constant. The difference was I used 30 gauge on my P2 and 28 gauge on my P3 so it's possible the Provari itself was reading it inconsistently and the build itself was constant.

I kept the same nic level. Made no difference to me.

As for the P2.5 limit....a 1.5 ohm build should work just fine unless you exceed the amp limit of the P2.5. I believe the amp limit on the P2.5 is 3.5a. So as long as you keep your voltage at 5.2v or less you should be OK. BTW, that's 18+ watts.

That depends on which P2.5 you're talking about. The limit on a V1 is 2.5A (9.38W@ 1.5V). The problem I have running that close to the limits is that coil resistances have a way of migrating on me. The meter will swear up and down that I'm at 1.7, but the device will report 1.6; over a period of time it'll wander away from that.

I must not have one of the V1s. Currently I am at 4.2V/11W on a 1.6ohm nautilus coil so should have me at 2.6a. When I get my Achilles (I think it's in Kiev now) I'm going to shoot for ballpark/similar resistance so I don't have to change voltage settings if I happen to throw a nautilus coil on there. I'm definitely not a "power vaper", as 4.2 volts seems to be plenty for me, and I don't feel the need to push things to a point to where I'm generating my own atmosphere, which seems to be all the rage now. All I want is flavor, and enough vapor to simulate a cigarette.

Pretty unlikely don't you think.
Not really. I think my P2 had the shakes. I'd check resistance and it would jump all around. By as much as a half ohm. Was that way with all my attys. My P3 never jumps around. The only difference was I used 30 gauge on my P2 and 28 gauge on my P3. That could be the only other possibility that I can see.

You weren't jumping around yourself at the time, we're you? [emoji16]

My Achilles is shipped, dancing ensues! :D

Mine just left Kiev :/

Now let's hope ISIS doesn't shoot it out of the sky.

Be prepared for a delay once your package reaches the port of entry, guys; this happened with my first and it's happening again with the second, which has been stateside since the 19th but has yet to reach my mailbox. Although it's very unlikely ISIS will shoot down the cargo jet, US Customs takes awhile making sure no one has planted a bomb in it.

Oh, and don't shoot the messenger :D

I'm guessing I'll be lucky to have it by March :(

Plan for the day is to finally coil up the A2 and see how I like it. That is if the dogs and my teenagers don't have other plans for me!
Welllllll....??

Meanwhile (back at the ranch), my 2nd Achilles II landed in my mailbox after an extended, 14 day purgatory. The Christmas mail crush may have been responsible for an extra day or two, but you guys with Achilles IIs in limbo can probably figure on the better part of two weeks while they're X-rayed and subjected to the slobbery affections of bomb-sniffing dogs.

Just got it in, it has a strong smell of grease/oil to it, so I'm giving it a hot water/dawn bath, may need more than one...

I got a Kayfun at one point that resisted all efforts to clean it with soap and water, even soaking. But 15 minutes of boiling did the trick.

Boiling definitely works. Just don't boil plastic or o-rings if you can help it.

Can't wait to hear how it goes for you Stealthy.

I've put my plastic M-tanks into the boiling water, but not for the whole time -- usually just a minute or two, right at the end of the 15 minutes. (and always left the o-rings on... it didn't seem to hurt them a bit).
