I was thinking the same thing...and Letzin's thread hasn't been stopped, deleted, or whatever....he's running a game Outside called "You know what to do..."

Vicks.....I have spoken with SJ on this matter a few times...the problem lies with bandwidth issues tying up the forums resources...the forum membership is(almost?)up to 10,000 members...I would much rather take down posting contests that run into massive posts than remove some of our discussion threads!...I would have to run any suggestions for smaller group hosted contest past SJ if we wanted to post another one here! The contests are fun...but enjoying each others company is far better in my book...I am going to try removing some of the less-frequented threads in the days to come to keep the more active ones running smooth...don't be shocked if you see one or two vanish from The Emerald City...it will be me..not Houdini!!..LOL..The Wiz!

I don't understand the "bandwidth" problem. Can't MORE be purchased???
Looking at the number of supplier forums, and that they each pay $40 a month, thats over $3000.00 a month, and thats not counting the number of members who support the forum with donations.
So what am I missing here?

Wildsky......That would be a question for smokeyjoe himself to answer! All I can do is offer the explanation I was given myself! The $ issues are far beyond my scope!

If you want to put the blame someplace, I guess it would be me that you have to kick about for that. I suppose that I started a S*** Storm with the whole "You know what to do..." game.You can banish me from the Emerald City if you want to and I'll understand.

This is not about Letzin's thread (which is still up & running, BTW) this is about the MiniEcig contest thread.....the one where the participants pumped the thread up to 10000+ posts in about 10 HOURS.....and, to be fair, there were a lot of

type posts - just junk to get the post count up. The contest was over, they deleted the thread.....chaos insued - pointing fingers, rude gestures, angry words, and I think that's the one where CaSH stepped down as a mod?
If we can't have games, we can't have games....so be it - understandable....
But it's nobody's fault in here..
