Being a Ninja is key...

Not that I would ever vape in or around any government building or vehicle. <wink> That Memo really upset me, but it stipulates a "tobacco product", and my SD mkII doesn't contain a lick of tobacco. FDA, USAF, who ever wants to call it a tobacco product is down right wrong IMHO. When I got chewed out and handed the memo, I was asked if I had any questions, and simply put "No Sir" Because that memo says it's a tobacco product that looks like an analog. And my vape looks nothing like an analog. Since folks dip in the building, how on the face of this earth can some one with a clear mind chew out someone for vaping. It doesn't stink nearly as bad as dip, and doesn't leave nasty water bottle filled with spit all over the place.

I'll never ever yell at any of my Airman for it, but the official answer is "no".

No one has ever said anything, I couldn't find an AFI in regards to E-Cigs. Vape all day in my patrol car. All of the rest of my Security Forces brothers in arms look at me funny.
there is a letter from Gen Green that came out about a year ago. It puts vaping in the same class as tobacco. So no vaping in GOVs of in government owned buildings. Just don't get caught.

Weird how the services differ so much on this subject.

I vape very openly in meetings with the CO, we have no rules in place and it is in fact encouraged at my command. I have gotten at least 10 people to start vaping just in the last year. They even had me do training on the effects of smoking and alternatives / smoking sensation methods. I gave out the ECF website, TastyVapor (my favorite at the time) and explained how the e-cigs worked and gave demonstrations to all E-5 and below at one of our training sessions.

Last December they banned smoking on all submarines underway, but last I knew e-cigs are still authorized underway.

Hell we have a carepackage from some ecf folks full of juice just sitting in the orderly room. I'm blowing vapor into this 10 year old government computers face as we speak. But really we have no guidance on the matter other than "don't use the nasty smelling ones inside" put out by our PLT Sgt. Other than that our XO vapes indoors and our CO dips indoors, so I guess my company is just more lax in regard to tobacco.

Seems you were speaking to airforce, I'm army but there's my story.

Just gonna say, I am a 2T2(think Pax termnial or the guys that load cargo onto planes). My boss over here said I can vape in the office so long as we don't have customers or visitors and as long as no one in the shop is offended. I just chill out in the office and vape on my down time. Beats walking out to the smoke pit.
