It's also worth mentioning that in my experience, a significant percentage of those who are exposed to fog machines for long periods of time are also smokers which may skew the results. I think people would be surprised how many of their favorite actors, singers and ESPECIALLY dancers are smokers.
My biggest PV is a 3000 watt model that can fill a theatre in about 3 minutes.
I cheated and skipped ahead to the conclusions. It appears they concluded the PG/mineral oil blend used in theatrical applications does not pose a threat to the overall health of those operating these machines or others in the theater. They do mention what some find here...some irritation, throat issues etc but nothing of great harm.
I'm in the business (I'm a Production Manager) and I remember the big kerfuffle when that study first came out. The AE membership were very upset since it didn't complete support the allegations that many of the more vocal members had made about PG. But since then I've delighted in reminding people that are very anti-vape due to second hand pg exposure that they should stay out of theaters, clubs, concerts etc as they are basically bathing in more pg than a roomful of people vaping could ever produce.
