Addicted to 'quit smoking' banners

Every single day, without fail, I go to a site for making quit smoking banners. I know it will only add 20 cigs to my last count, but I don't care, I just LOVE watching that number go up. And seeing how much I've save. And how many days it has been! I just can't help but do a happy dance every time. After 20+ years, seeing those numbers is pure heaven! Anyone else do this? You are not alone. I also smoked for more than 20 years and after 4 months still get a kick out of seeing how many days I've been tobacco free and how many cigarettes I haven't smoked. When I hit 120 days and 3000 cigarettes, it gave me a great feeling. I have to remember that I don't do this by myself. There has been tons of support from friends, co-workers and the folks here in ECF.

Why not add your banner to your signature so it appears with each post?

Had mine up to 7 months plus then slipped up

You are still an ex smoker for 7+ months! no reason to reset your banner for smoking a cig or two.

No sig yet since I'm trying to inch my way up to the 15 post limit, but I'm almost there. Sucks about the slip, but I don't think you should beat yourself up too much about it- after all, you're back on the bandwagon, not like you traded in all your gear for a carton

I agree. I've slipped a few times but I still consider my self over 6 months non-smoker.

I quit smoking for health reasons, but I LOVE watching the money saved grow and grow. That was always math I avoided doing when I was smoking.

I just hit 15 myself...assuming I did it right, this will be my first signature with the banner

Click settings, upper right corner, then about halfway down on the left edit signature.

I'm way to OCD to allow myself a slip without resetting my counter.

I love keeping track of it too. Great motivator.
I added that feature to my budget spreadsheet using the today function. As it is now, I just get a daily result but you guys got me thinking I can refine it do do hourly.......mmmm might do that...

Okay, that's were I figured it would be, but its not under the 'my profile' or 'my account' or anything else in that row. The option should come in after the 15th post, right?

I know what you mean about the OCD- I almost had a cig the other day- not that I wanted to, but more to reinforce just how icky they are. Then I thought, can't really say I've been clean for 3 weeks. Blah, welcome back from the dark side then

It should show under Settings, not My Profile or My Account.

You may have to scroll around each image to see the circles and arrows.

( after your 15 posts, the system needs to refresh - it does this at 25 after the hour...then the Edit Signature will appear on the left in Settings)

There's a nice app for the iPhone Vapemate. Gives you the same breakdown as these banners but also lets you input how much you spend on vaping. I just pull out my iPhone to show family & friends how long it's been & how much I've saved by vaping. I'm sure there's a similar app for Android as well.
