Nice, I hope you enjoy it (and keep returning here for questions) but your equipment looks lovely (I say that about most mechs, which is one reason I pay attention to these threads, I know that One Day Far Far away, I'm going to be trying that myself.... A long ways off, though.) Hope you have fun and stay safe!

I finally said "screw it" and ordered the Geekvape Mech Pro today. For $30 bucks with shipping I figured I couldn't go wrong. I'll practice with this and hopefully be ready to order a Pulse or another mech squonker before too long. Can't wait to see how good my Avocado looks on top of it

Looking great there!

Personal suggestion: stick with that basic build for a while (assuming it's satisfying you so far). Use that configuration as a baseline for flavour and vapour, and then start experimenting with coil positioning. You'll be amazed at the differences minute changes in coil position can make. Toy with your airflow settings and wicking as well.

Don't let me discourage you from going nuts trying different coils as well - I know I did - but there's real gratification and deeper understanding to be had from tweaking all the variables.

I vape quite high mtl on my mech. I don't really have any business being here but some advice is;
If you are brand new to mechs you should start off easy. Forget the faux hybrid and .1s
Seriously little to no room for error with builds like that even on batteries that can take it while pulsing.
A faux hybrid will increase the chance for error. Perhaps you should get acquainted with comfortably handling the standard mech first. As you learn more you can bring your res down and mess with faux hybrids.

Also, I know I talk about room for error a lot but it is suggested to build at a level which allows for decreased CDR, which will happen over time, or if your batteries are not quite 'right'.
I use 25rs generally and although they are reputable and 20A I would only build at a level which will discharge roundabout half of the tested CDR.
So I use vape-calc which I recommend. For Samsung 25rs I would only rock at .4s pulling 10.5A I believe.
VapeCalc

Use Mooch test reports to see what the CDR is for which batteries and check out the intended build with a freshly charged 4.2 battery on vape-calc and see what Amps you are given.
Don't go higher than the listed CDR on Mooches reports.
Some do later on, but not for now imo.

I follow all of these kinds of threads because one of these days I am going to get brave enough to attempt to use a beautiful mechanical device that was gifted to me. It is an Atmomixani 69. I like the fact that it is adjustable to accept just about any size battery up to and including an 18650.

I tried a topper on it when I first got it but the vape was so weak I thought there was something wrong with it. I now realize the device wasn't the problem....the high ohm factory coil was :D At least I already have batteries that are recommended and rebuildable toppers that would be perfect so one day soon I am going to give it a shot.

Yeah, factory coils on a mech is not a great way to go. Just go with a simple build, double check your resistance (in case wicking it throws anything off) and try it.

Most insulators on factory coils aren't much better than a few wraps of plumbing tape. I also highly recommend getting those rebuildables up and running.

[EDIT] Come to think of it, a lot of my RDAs way back weren't insulated much better. Thank goodness for PEEK and Delrin.
