I have ordered nic from Levy @ xtreme vaping and was very happy with it, I also ordered from some other suppliers with less satisfactory results. My question is should I go with Levy again or crystal clear vaping, or box elder? Box elder has best price but I don't want any more bad nic! I've heard both good and bad about box elder, nothing bad about levy or crystal clear. Any thoughts for recommendations would be highly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

Never bought the 100mls. Only the 36mg. Boxelder is having a 30% off sale. What I do is buy a small quantity to try. YMMV Gourmet Vapor utilizes box elder nicotine....I have settled with box elder myself...however I do like extreme and I want to try crystal clear when they get credit card processing. I have tried smaller vendors and I ended up with some bad nicotine...toss type or bug spray.

Some thoughts on nic...

There are other considerations when selecting nic liquid besides those of quality and delivered cost per mg of nic.

Cost per mg of nic being equal among the available choices, ask: "What is the lowest concentration of nic that will work for my recipes?"

The reason here is, you will need to use less PG and/or VG when finishing the recipe. The difference in cost may be small but every little bit helps:

Recipe with 15% flavoring, 18mg strength, 30mL batch
With 100mg nic: 67% add. base needed, 20.1mL; if $0.066/mL, then cost = $1.33.
With 24mg nic: 10% add. base needed, 3.0mL; if $0.066/mL, then cost = $0.20.

There is the safety factor to consider too, because 48mg as an example has only half the toxicity of 100mg. Also, many people choose to use latex gloves when working with 100mg and these are an additional cost.

I never thought you could get bad nick... I bought mine from MistEliquid in the UK, UK made (they also have it from Dekang). I bought 75 ml at 52 mg and the price seemed right even though I can't remember exactly right now. It doesn't smell bad, doesn't taste bad, everything's just normal. I don't know if it's top notch nic, it's nic anyway. :)

EDIT: I wear latex gloves, glasses and all because it's better that way. Shouldn't we all wear them no matter how high or low the nic level we're dealing with?

The thing you don't know or the question many don't ask when buying Nic is about the production date. When buying from these companies most should have a lot# with a production & expiration date. This is one of the reasons Box elder has there sales in my opinion and sells Nic for 1/2-1/3 of the price and many others do it too with there sales, they are blowing out there older Nic that is 90 days old in my opinion and when you see Nic or anything for that matter that is selling for half the price of where it is somewhere else there is usually a reason. I want Nic that is of not only the highest quality that I can find but of the freshest I can find. Levy is a very good Vendor and has good Nic, Also Andrew from Crystal clear has some very good high quality Nic, I stick with these two guys over Box elder all the time for a couple of the reasons I mention above. All of this Nic is coming from overseas, Box elder says they have a lab and make there own, they dont, they may cut and mix there own but as far as there Nic goes its coming from overseas just like everybody's is. There all buying it at it's strongest % and cutting it down but I would rather buy from the guy buying less and moving it out and always re-upping his order of fresh Nic therefore it's Andrew & Levy for me.

as does my box elder which will be gone within the next 2 weeks OP asked for our opinions and I have nothing but Kudos for Gourmet Vapor and Box Elder Chem supply, I had bad experience with NIC from Void mist but they did rectify the problem with sending a full refund of my purchase price, as a Responsible Vendor would so I dont have anything negative against them either other then I received bad nic the first time I ordered from them. So each to thier own opinion and mine is ++ For Box Elder and ++ For gourmet Vapor who sells Box Elder Nic.
My English nic has an expiration date: sometime in 2013.

Gourmet Vapor, Honeyville Vapor and Box Elder and all one in the same person/family. I'm sure mwa102464 is right and they don't have a lab, because all addresses lead to a single family home and an EZLoan$ business; however, I was happy with my purchase.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from Crystal Clear or Xtreme Vaping either though. I had fantastic service from Crystal Clear ordering cartomizers, even though the paying process was confusing - but now that I know how that works, it's no big deal.

We're paying someone else to work with concentrated/pure nicotine, and it's a person or a few persons, not a production facility.
