I got an extra brass sleeve thrown in from a purchase from a great member on ECF! It needs to be gussied up a little bit, but it really does add a sweet look. I still stick with the all aluminum, though. I just like the pure silver look. It's very sleek! After I polish the brass, I MIGHT change my opinion...but I doubt it.
Happy to take it off your hands if ya don't like it :)

I hate to say it, but I would sell my GGTS...it's just that the price point I would sell at would break most people's bank :D. Everyone has a selling price for collectibles, but that point can be too high for everyone short of Bill Gates. As it is, I just got enough money I might be able to afford batteries this week and actually USE my GGTS!!!

In reference to the OP, I am one of those who likes holding history in my hands, but knows I could not give it the proper care it deserves. So, I just go for very durable and hardy things (which means the next thing I buy other than an AVS/UFS/tank-thingy would be stainless steel, which means I am a forward collector).

just curious psycho Whats your pricepoint. =)

Haha, I like it, I just don't LIKE it! I might end up selling it someday, I just figure it's worth more to me in a possible replacement part than it is as a little bit of cash. I don't think they are actually worth that much, so maybe you could ask for one on the classifieds for cheap? I think they were sold for like, $20? Correct me if I'm wrong, since I became a GG owner just recently! Although I am man enough to admit, my belief: The Creed is Greed.

The price point for my GGTS!?!?!?? Lordy, that would be over $250! I don't think anyone would pay that for an all Aluminum GGTS! They would for a SS version, that I do know. The biggest problem is that my Fiance got it for me as a B-Day present! She saw me reading a post of someone looking to sell and told me if I really wanted it, she would get it for my birthday! I kept telling her no, but she said it was fine and told me to make the deal. I was a very happy camper! My B-Day isn't for another week, but it is already my best one! As you can see, my GGTS has a lot of personal feelings attached to it! Its even better that it is a To My Friend edition!
The price point for the brass sleeve? I don't even know what they are worth, so any reasonable offer that sounds good. I will look around and see what others have paid/sold for...if there are any.

Don't sell yourself short on the Ally GG if its mint look after it and keep it that way as more people switch to e-cigs more will get the bug for a good mod and these older runs will go up in value (are going up in value) i wouldn't be surprised if that by the end of the year they are fetching $250+ they are just not going to be available.
Look at the GGT/ GG nano/Grant and early slims people would literally kill for one of those and try picking a AFS v2/v3 up for less than a $100.
Most of my ally GGTS's have cost around the $200 mark with the exception of #2 .
No keep your GG its an investment and a part of the GG legacy.

Good advice! Thanks! I love the look and feel of my GG and yes, it is still in very good condition. I am a little worried about the laser engraving done on the device, since I think it is faint, but everyone else I talk to irl says it is still very visible. I need to get some Cape Cod Polishing Cloths as soon as I can, though. I have nothing to polish it with!!! I would love to own an AVS system, but since I am not sure it would suit me, there is NO way I would pay that much for one. I would buy one from Imeo, but that is because he has a very ethical practice: satisfaction of all smokers! This means he makes sure they are quality pieces. I might get an Iatty, but they are meant for a GGTB so I am not sure I will get one.

No don't get the cod cloths they are abrasive look for a good non abrasive cleaner.
I use peek and have just got a tube of Harley bright to try sheen genie is another good one.
I'd wait and get a UFS to be fair for a tank system

Ah, I will research more into polishing equipment!

Errrr !! UK here whats them:evil: lol there used to be one of those in the kings road Chelsea, but up in North Durham

Ok will have to have a look on google.

We got a dealership in Wolverhampton (chapel ash) im trying out the cream over the weekend as i've not done so yet.
been using the DBSB so thats nice and smudgy now so i will se how it goes on that then give the GGTS a whirl if the results are good
Peek can be had from good old fleabay.
I use fine micro fibre cloths for polishing as they are just the biz and can be had from the like of B&M and home bargains cheap enough.
if im happy with the Harley cream do you want me to get you a tube and send it up?

Are the previous releases of GG worth running after for A collection or should new collectors just collect forward.

I saw an AFS v2 today and It was really a far cry from the feel of the UFS. Since you guys have been collecting for a while please share you thoughts.

All GG devices are great, and yes, the newer models have changed some, but even if ya look back to early model GG's like the Grant, its very similar in build quality, and looks very similar to a GGTB.... I have been collecting GG devices for a few years, but I wouldnt go crazy trying to chase em all down... I have many, but you can only use one at a time right? lol... Its up to you...But I would just collect forward unless there is a specific model that pops up for sale... but usually the used ones are as much as the new ones....GG devices seem to hold value, specially the early models.. far and few come up for sale...
