Hi everyone!
im pretty new to vaping after giving up tobacco (about 5 weeks)
I seem to be spending more on could than I did on tobacco. I recently changed my coil and it must have lasted an hour before it tasted gross! many advice would be greatly appreciated as I am looking longingly at the rizlas and filters!

I am using TornadoEX2, with a 1.2 ohm coil (same brand), I am prepping my coil as showed in the shop, never running down on juice, using a 50/50 liquid, the liquids I am using are clear. I do use it on the light blue string and not the orange setting?

the only other thing is am I using it too much? But what is too much?

I have currently just burnt through my 3rd coil in 6 days!!
Or is this just a rubbish kit ?

As u say seems u do everything right and it would mead me to think that this atomizer doesn't have good coils...

Using it toooo much means u either vape lots of juice per day and that would affect the life of coil ofc....a coils like life depends on the juice it vaporises and not by the days...also something that affects the coil like is what we call chainvaping...
best is to take a puff and then wait for few seconds....
Myself and I think many vapers we always chainvape....myself tho I vape like 2 puffs in a row and not more...

How much juice u vape per day? And what coil u use?

Hi JenE. Welcome to the ECF.

That Tornado EX2 doesn't seem to have all that great reviews.

    Tornado EX2

Seems like Many other people mention Burnt Taste and going thru Coils Quickly . If you want to stay with Coil Heads and a Tank, many someone can Suggest a Better One.

Me, I would Always Suggest you think about getting a Rebuildable Atomizer and pair it with a Variable Wattage (VW) Mod. That way you can Adjust the Hit to exactly how you Like It.

BTW - Not sure where you are Located? Because you Don't have any Location in your Profile.

i probably could be a bit of a chain vaper but I’d say I take a puff keep it in my hand for maybe 1 min and then vape again?

    I think I go through about 2 bottles of 10ml a week, I don’t think that’s excessive?

I have been getting my coils from the vape shop I bought my vape (totally wicked) I can’t say I’m overly impressed as each time I go back they give me a new coil for free rather than trying to ascertain what I’m doing wrong. And I am using their branded coils

I am a complete beginner, I have no idea what a rebuildable atomizer or variable wattage is

I think I need a super easy, reliable kit that I don’t have to put too much effort into, maybe I am destined to burn through coils

If u can get another vape device would be good I guess since it seems this is not known to be good atomizer...

There are many known good atomizers out there easy to use also like the one u got....those that I adjust the wattage on your own...it's not big deal to use them...

Cause it's a shame to go back to cigarettes cause of a device that wasn't good

can you think of a decent vape? I have looked at so many online, I now have less of a clue than when I started :w00t:

    Gotcha. And No Worries.

I haven't used Coil-Heads for awhile. So I Haven't keep super current on who makes a Good Tank Kit? I know that Innokin used to make some Great Stuff. So maybe someone could suggest a Good Coil Tank/VW Mod Kit. CoolFire Z50 ZLIDE ?

Because you Don't have to put up with Coil-Heads that only last a Day or Two.

I've had the Innokin Z50 Mod on my short list of things to buy for awhile.

It's a Great Size. And an On/Off Switch is a Very Cool Feature for when you are Out n' About.

That's the kit that i attempted to vape for the third time and it was a success cause I still vape today so it has a special place in my heart hahahaha
It should be cheaper now also

    ...

BTW - Variable Wattage (VW) is a feature that lets you adjust the amount of Power that the Mod sends to the Atomizer. Think of it like the Volume Knob on you Stereo. Or more precisely, like a Dimmer Switch on a Lamp.

One of the Big Reasons that a Coil will Burnout Quickly or Taste Burnt is if it gets More Power than it can handle. This Isn't so much of a Problem with a VW Mod. Because you can Dial Down the Wattage to what the Coil can handle.

BTW2 - If I was you, I would Start a New Thread with a Title something like... "Looking for Coil Head Tank / VW Mod Kit". This will get you Many Suggestions from people who Use or have Used Coil Head Tanks.

Nothing wrong with this thread. But many might Not read the Entire Thread because they have No Experience with a TornadoEX2.

the Innokin Coolfire z80 kit with the Zenith II tank...

you'll need a flattop 18650 Lithium Ion battery (Samsung 25r is a good all around battery) from a reputable dealer such as IMR batteries or Liion Wholesale along with an external charger...

This is a good, yet small mod, and the coils are really good, plus there are plenty of coils to choose from and it allows you room to grow as a vaper.
