Hello, basically Im new to this whole e-cig thing. I barely found out about it a couple days ago. I have read countless reviews and watched countless youtube vids and I'm STILL confused on what to get. My first initial buy was going to be the Green Smoke but I seen a lot of people here say that they either started on Green Smoke and made a switch or they skipped Green Smoke altogether and have been pleased with thier decision. Basically this is what Im looking for:

An e-cig that isn't tooo bulky
An e-cig that generates a lot of vapor
An e-cig that I dont have to drag on for 10 seconds just to get a good vape.
An e-cig that isn't known for leakage issues

I went to wanting a Green Smoke, to a Ego T, to a Echo, to a Im completely confused.

I want something that resembles the flavor of a Newport cigarette if possible. I want to stick with a traditional taste before I branch off into different flavors.

Can someone please advise on what my choice should be? I dont mind having to buy a kit from one place and juice from another. I just want the best possible combo available for my needs. If you could provide names/links on what and where to buy that would be great. Thanks for your time.

I would not go with green smoke. Honestly, eGo is a great starter and that will save you from having to upgrade within a month, like the rest of us did. Vapor4life has good reviews on here for the cig-looking e-cig.

I have an echo but that may be too much at first...others will chime in as well.

E-juice...try the usa mix to start and all the menthols seem to be pretty good.

Good luck! Other members will be giving their advice to help you out also. :)

Why is that? Is it because I would have to have tested a few other before i got the hang of this one? Is there that much difference between the echo and ego-t?

The echo comes in 650 and 1300 mah. I have the 1300 and that would seem to me to be maybe too much at first but I may be wrong. The echo-e is compatible with the eGo (fittings like the atomizers, cartos, etc). I personally don't care for the tanks for eGo but like the cartomizers and you can get cartos that are dual coils that will increase the flavor, etc. The eGo is 650 mah, i believe and has great power and the battery lasts pretty much all day vs. a mini that will only lats 2 hours.

I bought my echo here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...94316-d-b-gold-has-echo-e-cartomizers-56.html

Bill has iGo kits for 42.00 it is the same as the eGo. If you have questions, just send him an email or whatnot and he will help you out. I continue to order from him, great quality, fast shipping great customer service!

Oh, the echo is a cople inches longer than the eGo and has a large red led on the end. Bill also just got a new e-cig in that is identical to the echo but does not have an led and it comes in 650 and 1300.

I hope that isn't too much or too confusing...it's hard to sum it up quick and to the point without writing a novel. :)

Personally i say eGo. If your worried about tanks leaking just get the carto model. If you go with the eGo you can always buy a tank atty and switch over using the same battery. As a note my tanks have not leaked. i mean theres a little liquid around the outside of the tank. I have never had a tank leak so bad as to pool or anything like that.

The advice that I give to everyone that's semi-interested is as follows:

If you're lucky enough to have a Pilot or Flying J truck stop around, go in and grab one of their Mistik kits. They're not fancy, they don't blow clouds of vapor, and they only have 2 flavors and 4 nicotine levels. What they are though, they do well at. They do give a satisfactory experience. Here in MN, the small starter kit (1 battery, 1 USB charger, 3 pre-filled cartos) was 15 dollars. It's a good way to get your feet wet and decide if you're going to like it at all. If you fire it up and decide that it's crap and you don't like it...oh well, 15 dollars gone. Yep, you could have gone to see a movie (no popcorn though), but instead you tried out an e-cig.

If you like it, at least then you'll have a bit more understanding about what's going on with it, how long the battery lasts you, if the flavor is up your alley, etc.

Then go and look at an eGo. :)

Cheers!

Go with ego type or any of the well minded suggestions here; then if you are convinced you like vaping enough, go with the Provari :)
or the Buzz or Infinity Pro or the other high tech VV devices.
Just don't get hung up chasing the "best".

Ok, try a mechanical pv too ... some swear by em (not me)... then go to the VV's.

Here & There
I started with Volt 7 weeks ago and have since bought 2AA 3.7 volt box mods from James at Krimson Kustoms on this forum. The box is tiny, fits in your hand, and I love it. It cost me all of 20 dollars a piece-- a fraction of what I paid to get two people going with Volt. It is not shaped like a cig more like not much bigger than a lighter. I know this is a small leap for a beginner but I wish I'd gotten the box mod right out of the gate as my starter device. For me, its that good and very affordable. It produces excellent vapor. If you want it immediately go with MadVapes, James as I mentioned above, or Foxy Box Customs. His is all of 19.00. They all have a similar box. Then get the 15 carto deal from CCV, a decent juice and you will be in heaven.

ok, my 2c cents. I just got an eGo passthru for about the same price as most gas station ones, you can get it at most vendors for around $20. Only has the battery and plug, but most people buy all the juice and cartomizers separate anyway. You can vape hooked up to USB while it charges, or can unplug and go anywhere. I use the smoktech dual coil cartomizer and get a good TH and vapor. Good luck, and welcome to ECF.

ECHO-E from mtnvapor.com . . .

Here's why:

1. You can buy any EGO stuff for it without need for adaptor, and turn it into an EGO, EGO-T, or EGO-W for just a few bucks if you wanna see what using an atty or tank feels like.

2. The 2.3ml carto's are perfect size. Not big and bulky, not small and flimsy. I load up two in the morning, and I've got nearly 5ml ready to go all day...

3. The vapor production is huge! As Longhorn and others have said elsewhere - it is one of the only E-cigs made capable of producing 'too much' vapor. You can always switch down to the single coil for a little less, or just don't hit it so hard (like owning a fast car, you don't always drive it full speed, but it's nice to have the extra power) . . .

4. Mtnvapor doesn't advertise it, but they are essentially "Wholesale Direct to Consumer" - their prices are very low, and their shipping is fast... Plus the juices they carry are all top notch, very consistent.

That's my 4 cents worth!

There's a lot of great stuff out there, and I've got a huge pile of it myself - but the only one I go to day after day is my ECHO-E... For me, it's just so convenient, cost effective, produces great flavor and vapor, and packs the perfect throat hit for my tastes... (more than a little, but not too much!)

...and hey, let us know what you pick and how it goes, I'm interested to hear!

I say an EGO style battery with cartomizers.
They aren't to big and the 510 connection is the most common I think.
I didn't fully stop smoking till I got mine.
As for the newport flavor..I'd say any of the menthol e-Liquids would work.

That's what I use. I love my eGo with Boge 2.0 cartomizers and a drip tip.

Check out the E-Power 14650. Its an eGo type mod that uses non-proprietary batteries unlike the eGos. Its a great starting setup thats very affordable. Everything is replaceable on it as well so its cost effective. An E-power battery costs $4bucks compared to the eGo battery thats $14-20.

Read this link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-buying-e-power-14650-read.html#post4394527
It will give you some pros of the E-Power over other comparable mods, as well as where to buy it, etc.
If you get it from CCV youll get a free 30ml juice, free 5 pack of "Ressurector" cartomizers(which are awesome), free shipping, etc.
You really cant go wrong with it.

My 2 cents: If you don't mind a PV slightly bigger than a cigarette go with the eGo or similar device (Riva, KGo, etc) and some cartomizers. I would recomment a Riva from Liberty Flights.
The Riva is less expensive than the eGo and it delivers slightly higher voltage which results in a better experience IMO. Liberty flights also bundles Rivas with cartomizers or atomizers.
