I got an egoT a couple months ago as well, my kit came with two 1000mah(1100mah?) batteries and the typeA tanks. since then i've expanded to the typeB tanks that hold more juice and i've tried a single coil echo-e cartomizer as well as a dual coil echo-e cartomizer (mtnvapor.com throws in a dual coil for free with each of their 30ml juice purchases, not to mention the combo costs only $12 shipped) you can pretty much have a new cartomizer each time you need a bottle of juice, quite convenient and super cheap overall, juice is good too.
anyway, the dual coil cartomizers will eat up the battery almost twice as fast it seems. my batteries last about 2.5 days with single coil/tanks, but the duals will drain them in about a day and a half.
i like both the tankB type atomizers as well as the cartomizers, the cartomizers do seem to produce more vape 'smoke', but that's not nececarrily something i want/care about when i'm at work and want to be more inconspicuous.
i will have to try some of those flat tipped ego 5ml cartomizers though, can put in whole bottle of sample size juice in one, i like that. one thing i hate is getting the bottles of juice out to refill, so doing it no more than once a day would be great.
then again i carry around 3 cartomizers and a tank b with a couple tanks, (can't make up my mind on what flavor/mixture i like), so i never run out of juice in a day anyway, but going forward i'll eventually figure out which flavors i like the most and will think the herd
i'm testing 10 flavors right now, trying them straight and mixing them around (mixing produces some neat flavors), have about 7 more flavors coming. none tobacco type though, don't want to be reminded.
but if you like menthol (i think you said that) you should have no problem with the menthol/spearmint juices, they're apparently easy enough to replicate for everyone (juice sellers/creators) consistently.
just make sure you don't put in VG heavy (say 20%+) stuff into the ego tank atomizers, they won't work too well. the cartomizers seem to handle pretty much anything as long as it has a little PG in it (say as little as 10%?).
i tend to prefer PG stuff (100% to 80%) since it carries more flavor than VG, and i care much more about the flavor than the volume of 'smoke'. PG (if i understand it correctly) also seems to give off a stronger throat hit.
drip tips are supposed to be the ultimate in flavor, if you can put up with the constant dripping required, or want to spend much more on more exotic kits.
often though i feel like i should be holding a pipe rather than a cigar though, vaping feels more like pipe smoking to me than cigarette smoking, then again, i've never smoked a pipe, just find myself wanting to have one all of a sudden since starting vaping.
forgot... you'll want a syringe to make the tank refills super easy/quick. you can use the syringe on the cartomizers as well. holding a cartomizer at say a 45 degree angle and slowly turning it as you're squeezing in juice from a drip bottle (all juices seem to come in a drip bottle anymore) onto the side of the cartomizer (for the ones that have the tube in the middle) seems to work well also, to top it off a little, hard to judge how much you're putting in though sometimes, so best to put the battery end on top of a 5ml drip bottle and work the syringe between the wall and filler material around. that way whatever leaks out the bottom will just fall back into the bottle, then wipe and you're done.
anyway, good luck with your experimenting, you have plenty of it ahead of you
