Hi all! This is my first post, so go easy on me!

I just smoked my first e-cig a few weeks ago and I'm already addicted!! LOL The first kit was a gift sent to me and it was a cheap little thing (Firelight Micro) with NO vapor to speak of, NO taste to speak of, and NO throat hit/lung hit. Despite that, I saw the potential and started looking online. I came across V2 with good reviews and, although pricey, the ultimate kit looked complete so I got it. I am sooooo glad that I did!!!!

I'm still vaping on the V2s and actually I kinda like them. The batteries aren't huge or anything, but they really do last longer than I thought they would and they charge really fast, too. The cartomizers have a really good amount of vapor and taste. Not so sure about the throat hit...some flavors/strengths do and some don't. I'm actually loving their Sahara cartos and the V2 Reds aren't bad, either. Their Congress and Cherry sucked majorly! I've ordered a bunch of juice samples from a few different vendors, but haven't received any of them yet. I can't wait! I'm like a kid at Christmas! LOL

Anyhow, my dilemma is this... I am quite happy with the amount of vapor and taste from the V2s (I also ordered V4L XL kit but haven't gotten it yet - now that I have researched more, I think it will end up being almost identical to the V2 kit lol) and I am happy for the most part with the batteries I have. Although I have smoked analogs for almost 35 yrs, I have lung issues and don't really like a harsh throat/lung hit. I prefer a more mellow/smooth smoke/vape instead. I used to smoke stronger cigs but had weaned myself down to ultralights for the past 10 years or so. I truly had no intentions on quitting so quickly, but I have found that I don't really want my analogs anymore and they taste awful. From that first day I tried an e-cig, I've only had at most 5 analogs in a day and most days now I'll only have one or two. Most of that is psychological, I know! It's amazing to me, though, since I was smoking over 2 packs a day of analogs just a few weeks ago!!!!!!

So, I've been looking at mods and such and I'm wanting everything I see, of course(!), but should I really go for something better, faster, and stronger if I don't want a stronger hit????? Should I just buy a handful of these batteries and a bunch of blank cartos and juice and vape on??? I feel stupid asking such a thing, but I'm so new to this and so very confused by all the choices out there! I see all the Provaris and Lavatubes and 5V mods, etc, etc, etc...and I'm wondering if I even need all of that.

ANY advice is welcomed. By the way, I love your forums...have been lurking for a few days and reading my eyes out. LMAO

Since you are have the KR808 stuff (V4L and V2cig stuff are virtually the same equipment, v4L just ships faster, doesn't sell stuff not in stock, more variety, and better prices), I'd get the V4L blank WOW (hotter) and Coolcarts (cooler and better for the 5V passthru) to start trying other vendor juices. Those prefilled carts are not the best and the amount of juice in them can vary. You will want to start refilling them yourself anyway. Prefilleds are ridiculously expensive and at best mediocre.

You can buy any cartomizer that is KR808-D1 threaded for your equipment. If you go to the forum suppliers you will find many different prices and types. Boges are well liked around here.

As you get used to vaping and know your style, you'll have a better idea what type of mod would work for you. Order enough of things to have back up but don't start ordering 3-4 month supplies because your tastes in flavors and equipment will change over time. If you go to the v4L section of this forum, there are a ton of people that are perfectly happy with KR808s for years. Just as many if not more change PVs 2-3 times in a year. If you keep reading here you'll find the options that will work for you.

Welcome to the forum and the world of vaping.; Pretty cool, isn't it?

Wow! Thank you all for such quick replies and advice! I knew I was gonna like you all!

Sicarius - I did get the PCC with the V2 kit. I really don't need it as much as you'd think. I'm not allowed to smoke at work and I rarely leave the house when I'm not working. The USB pass-through is what caught my eye with both the V2 and the V4L. I think that's why I've been looking at the eGo-T PTs...that would be great to not worry about battery life and refilling all the time! :)

JuiceJunky - I have already ordered the juices, but still waiting for the blanks cartos to arrive. That was the only thing not included in my 2 day delivery (!!!) from V2. I had to laugh when I read about V4L having faster shipping times. I was excited today when my V4L order arrived (after waiting a week so far), only to find that the bag contained a bunch of sample cartos and a few cords...and NO BATTERIES or kit!!!! LMAO I almost fell out of my chair! After a call to customer service and waiting a few more days, I might have my V4L order. Thanks for the warm welcome...and yes, it is so very cool! I already have at least two family members interested and they haven't even seen these things. They've only heard my excitement when talking about them! hehe

Welcome to ECF. Let me reiterate what was said above. If you enjoy what you have stay with it. There is absolutely no reason to spend more money until you learn and understand your current PV and possibly decide that it no longer satisfies your needs. Yes, I know some of the PVs that others own are impressive but it doesn't mean they would be right for you.
