I use a innokin vv4 itaste battery, and kanger pro min3 tanks, ive written b4 about my probs with my kanger tank, this is the prob I buy duel coils 5 pack and out of the 5 pack 3 of them only last for a day if lucky, what happens is I put a new duel coil in at it starts of at 1.8, then after a day it creeps up to 2.7/8 ohms!!! I don't understand this I don't get a burnt taste.. it just makes it hard to get a drag!!
so what ive done is ive brought a eleaf istick 40w kit with gs tc atomizer it comes with a 510eco thread, so my question is when my new kit comes in couple of day, I can use my kanger tank on the istick, do you think the duel coils will work on the istick 40w battery, the duel coils that I cant use on my innokin batter cos they have jumped to 2.7ohms and are to hard to get a drag from, do u think they will work with the 40w eleaf battery im due??

Sounds to me like you are getting some packages of kanger coils that are just not right, not to spec, etc.

I use their single coils and out of a new box yesterday, there were 2 out of 5 that were bad. Could not vape on them at all.

I will just buy them from a different vendor next time, the idea is that, out of millions of boxes of coils, every so often there will be a run in a chinese factory somewhere that aren't good........and those will all go out together during a specific time period, to vendors.

Just getting new ones from a different location, inventory that was put on shelves at a different time and place, soemtimes solves the problem.

It really annoys me that I have to take the hit on these though, money wise.

What power are you running your coils? What kind of juice (is it dark/sweet, high VG?)

I would be a bit concerned by that much of a resistance change just during the course of the day.

In general, you should be just fine running your dual coils on the iStick. But, if the resistance has shot that high in that short amount of time, I would maybe be disinclined to try to reuse them elsewhere. Could be an indication of a coil getting ready to fail?

Never run into a problem of a head I can not salvage myself, started rebuilding protank 1 coils long ago and got me into my rebuilding career. But one thing Kanger always suffered with all of their Protank era coil heads were either flat out duds in a 5 pack at least one wouldn't fire, or as stated above, with just general age the resistance spikes up or down from one moment to the next without any rhyme nor reason. Rebuilding them always fixes the problem for me.

hi, im vaping at 8.5w and that fires at4volts, my ejuice is almost see though its from dripdrop I just feel so annoyed that the money I spend of 5 pack of duel coils for the tank 3 r crap, as I said as soon as I put them in they jumped from 1.8 too 2.7/8 and even 9, but there not burnt out as I only had them in few hours, it was to hard to get a drag, ive kept the ones that r 2.8 and maby ill try them on my new kit when that comes! do u think the 3 duel coils will work with the istick

Yes, any of these current mods/devices can handle a dual coil config very handily.

that's great, I know my new kit comes with a gs tc atomizer and ill use that mostly, but ill still ust the kanger pro min3 on the 40w istick as I think the duel coils that r firein to high may be able to cope on the istick

should be compatible with new battery, but if they are wonky coils, may not make a difference, may be wonky on new battery also... if you like that style (protank3) of tank/ vape, may want to look at nautilus tank (from aspire) - I have had pretty good luck with those coils, when i was using them... the tank you are getting with your kit is going to be pretty different (likely much better...) vape wise, than the protank3...

keep in mind, also, that your new tank is coming with nickel (temp control) coils, if i am reading description correctly - you will want to make sure you get some info/ guidance on setting that up in TC mode, if using new (GS TC) tank/ coils

yes ur so right I do need advice on the tc gs atomizer, im aware its going to be different, do u know much about them ,

Rebuilding them always fixes the problem for me.

I know from reading that over-the-counter clearomizers can be rebuilt, and that people do this.

FWIW, for me, coils are less than $1 each nowadays, and mine last 1-4 weeks, for that $ I will just toss in the garbage

If I wanted to rebuild I would probably just go with an RBA RDA RTA thingie or whatever they call 'em. REbuildiong OTC coils in protanks, evods, T3s, ect seemed to be more popular BEFORE these items came out. Don't need a magnifiying glass or tiny fingers in most cases.

If you enjoy rebuilding over the counter clearos then it's fun and worthwhile. For me, not so much.

if you get some of the other coils, it would be just about setting wattage and vaping away - with the Temp Control coils, you have to set a temp on it as well as a wattage ramp up, I believe

It's what works for me . Especially when the coil head gets in my hand all out of wack, still have enough 32awg wire, I just tear them apart mumbling and grumbling yes, and rebuild the coil head, which 99% of the time out performs the factory wraps anyway. Only time I buy new heads these days for the Protanks I have are when the pin insulators give out.

Kanger has been having serious QC problems with their lower end clearomizers having ohm jumping problems. Last month I bought 2 aerotanks that needed to be returned because of it. The bases were milled improperly causing ohms to jump around like mad.

One thing to be careful with tc devices use nickel wire. Nickel tends to be allergic to many people so use with a word of caution. The ohms used by tc mods are very low compared to the standard device. Have a care which coils go on different devices.

If you coils are gunking up that fast, I would suggest it may he your eliquid like the other poster said.. Even though it is clear, it may be full of some type of sugar additive. The only one I mix that have any color are they heavy tobacco ones with something like dark vapor in it. If it is high vg with lots of sugar it will gunk up fast.
