I think I've narrowed down what I'd like to try, but I don't know if my choices are the best or will work with my batteries so I'd appreciate any advice/recommendations.

Here's what I have and use:

Ego style 1100mah 510 batteries with Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers.

My juice is DIY - at least 60-70% VG, mostly fruity flavors, no added sweetener.

I tend to chain vape when I'm not at work and would like something that doesn't require a lot of 'fiddling' to get it to work.

What I think I want to order:
Vision Extreme Mini 2.4-2.6ohm
Fluxomizer 2.4-2.6ohm (or 2.6-2.8ohm)
Ego Thread Sleeve
I also wanted to try the new Vision Ego Stardust, but they're sold out...

My questions:

If I order the Vision Extreme, do I need to order the mouthpiece and plug set?

Since I use a 2ohm Boge, which ohm range fluxomizer should I get?

Will the ego thread sleeve work on any ego style battery?

As you can see, I haven't ventured far from the basic vape gear I started with, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you chain vape, unless you want to carry around a whole lot of filled fluxos, IMO I would just stick with the mini. Also, the mini is much fatter than the fluxos. So there is a vision cone specific to it's size. And, my personal preference, take this with a grain of salt, but I prefer the vision micro stretches to the fluxos. As far as wicking goes, with higher vg content I think the mini, because it is fatter and short, does a better job than either the fluxo or the micro stretch. I would recommend an extra mouth piece set, they are cheap so it is a good incase. I haven't lost any mouth pieces, but I did scorch one plug due to unfortunate coil placement. Ego cones are all threaded the same, the difference between them is the top mouth part, and consequently the equipment you can cover. The standard cone works with steel fluxos, but not I hear the plastic fluxos, without modification. The same with the pen cap style cone (which is awesome btw). The vision ego cone works with vision mini and giant but NOT the regular. A far as I know there is no specific cone for the vision regular. As for ohms, I am not equipped to give you good advice there.

In the interests of fairness, I must admit the inner plug for the vision fluxo conversion kit when used with a drip tip instead of the vision tip is a great help with the fluxos. They are initial ly fiddly (getting it centered in right), but then they work. Regardless, make sure you check out the ce2 tricks and tips sticky.

With a caveat that this is my personal experience, and mileage varies... :)

I mostly agree with Erin. I actually prefer Visions Regular, because in my opinion it wicks better, but Mini is good too. And considerably larger, which is good for chain-vaper on the go.

Taste-wise, I like Fluxos and the Stretch just a tad better, but Visions Reg and Mini beats everything else for wicking and ease of use. You just don't have to do anything with them. Just fill and vape. Fluxos, on the other hand, you have to mod to get the most out of them.

For the Fluxos you need a drip tip. For Visions you don't, but watch out a bit for a loose fit - the tips are just a smidgen too loose, so don't just toss them in your pocket, they might come loose.

As far as resistance goes, I also use LR Boges, but with both Fluxos and Visions I use regular resistance - somewhere around 2.6 to 2.8 Ohms. Reason being is that both of these provide more than enough warm vapor at that resistance, and if you lower the resistance (I've tried it), you start getting dry hits and burnt taste once in a while. Not worth the bother of tilting and waiting for the juice to wick up again, IMHO. Like I said, both Fluxos and Visions provide more vapor at regular resistance than Boges do at LR.

Cone-wise, much as I like the idea of them, I gave up. The ones I like don't fit onto Fluxos and Visions. I love the pen-style one, but apparently you have to grind it out to fit, and it's more than I want to bother with, personally, right now.

i do use the little thread cover cone-ette. It's cute and makes the batt look less industrial. And it's cheap. :)

Since you mentioned what type of e-Liquid you use, which is a Huge help, and that you tend to chain vape sometimes, I would suggest you try 2.6~2.8 ohms.

I think they work a little better with High VG e-Liquids verses 2.4~2.6 ohms. Especially Fruit Flavors.

Thanks. I was leaning towards the Visions as I've read a lot about the fluxomizers needing to be modded to work. I'll add the mouthpiece set too.

I've never used cones, the draw gets tight, but I was thinking the 'cone-ette' would look better with the tank type cartos. And I like cheap :)

I think they work a little better with High VG e-Liquids verses 2.4~2.9 ohms. Especially Fruit Flavors.

That settles it, I'll order the Vision mini's 2.6~2.8 ohms.

Thanks everyone, you've been a big help. I'm off to place my order.

Oh, and having spent an evening with a stone, I think this may also be something to try. Maybe get a vision first then if you like it invest in one. Or you know, just go for it. Been vaping mine all night alternating caramel apple in the stone and menthol in the stardust. Enjoying them both, but chain vaper is going to prefer the stone.

I may just do that. I'm on the notify list for the stardust. I'll wait a couple of days and if they're not in by Monday I'll maybe just get the stone. The mini visions were also sold out, so I'll order a regular unless the minis come in by the time I place my order.
