Hi guys,
Couldnt find a better sub section for this so apologies if its in the wrong section.

I got an Aerotank about 2 weeks ago.
Its been great untill the past week when i started getting a burnt taste. Obviously this was just my coil, so just popped a new one in and carried on.

However, ive noticed a harsh taste lately, which started before i burnt out the old coil.
I thought it may just be the coils and liquid so i brought some new coils (official) and put some different liquid in. But no, still the same.

Ive even put in some new Sterile Cotton wicks. Still the same!

The flavour is VERY muted. I can hardly taste any flavour at the moment, just a harsh hit.

Tried giving it all a thorough clean and all the usual stuff.

When i first got it the flavour was immense. The Cherry i originally put in was full of flavour and tasted like it smelt!
But now, hardly anything at all!

Any ideas guys?

Running it on an Ego Twist at between 3.2 - 4v to try find the right voltage and ive got a standard 2ohm coil in there.

I get muted flavors from my Aerotank stock coils. I'm definitely not a fan but rebuilt aerocoils... oh boy that's a whole 'nuther story!

Two things I can think of:
I know a tank can hold the smell of juice even after a quick cleaning, maybe try soaking the tank in hot water or everclear to get it wicked clean!

Kanger coil QC is spotty so maybe you've just been unlucky and got some bad coils. Do you have a way of testing the Ohms? If you happened to get a coil labeled 2.0 but it really measured 1.5 that would make a difference even at 3.2 volts and could give you a burnt taste.

I use my Aerotank just as much as my two Kayfuns. I liked it ok at first but after rebuilding the coils into 2mm single 1.7 ohm microcoils the flavor and vapor production doubled! I also hated the delayed response from stock coils, but the rebuilds instantly come to life when I push the button! You may want to think about rebuilding, it's much easier than it looks, cheaper and the results are fantastic!

Got one aero tank and was like wow I love this because of the harsh hit so I bought a 2nd a few days later and a few days after that I realized that I was loving the kit but tasting almost nothing and the monster (like the energy drink) flavor I had loved now tasted like cough syrup. Want a great tasting vape with a good hit that doesn't hurt your throat go for the iclear 30s. I loooove mine

I don't have the aerotank. I bought aerotank bases for my protank 2 and 3 and I'm enjoying the vape immensely. I have 3 pt minis and 2 or great 1 burns coils after a few puffs. Does anybody have a solution for this? I run 2.1 resistance at 6.0w on a vamo v5. 50/50 RY4U from Venum Vapur

Honestly, it may be the juice or Hotspots on the coil.

I'm still playing with my aerotank but I found once you burn a coil you need to really clean the base or the flavor hangs around, especially if you puff a bit of vape through the air holes. ALso I had to lower my nic level because of the heavy TH that the dual coils provide. I normally vape 12-18 mg nic but in my aerotanks I have to go down to 6-8mg. You can also cut the airflow in half and get less TH.

Cheers for the replies guys.
I think I'm putting the strange harsh hits down to my juice.
I have been vaping things like Cola and cherry and pepper soda.
I put in a sweet fruity flavour from a different supplier and it's gotten Alot better.

I think my mouth has just changed what it likes!
