Aerotank Valve

Hi,

I received an aerotank from a friend, which had everything but the airflow valve.

So I ordered the following item

$3.97 Authentic Airflow Control Valve for Protank 2 / Protank 3 / Aerotank - chromed brass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Now that I have receive the item, it seems I can't really turn the air flow dial at the base at all. I have even tried with some needle nose pliers. Do these looks like the correct kanger aerotank air flow valve?

If yes, is there a trick to turn it..are they always this tight?

It looks like the right one. Looks just like my Aerotank airflow control valves. I have gotten mine stuck both all the way open as well as all the way closed. Yours appears to be stuck all the way closed. They can be a pain because there is no knurling to grab on to except for the actual part that spins.

yeah oftentimes people actually over tighten it while trying to do the opposite.
Yours seem to be stuck in the fully closed position, in this case, (I am right handed) I'd screw in the valve in a mod, hold the ring valve firmly with my left hand (just the adjusting ring), and turn the mod the valve is attached to clockwise using your right hand, as If you were tighten it, this will give you the most grip to do it without using any additional tools, now the valve will be firmly attached to the mod, so be careful not to over tight the ring again when unscrewing the valve from the mod. if this doesn't work, then what epicdoom said.
