After 2 Weeks What a Surprise

Before getting too sure in your judgements, remember that smoke smell sticks to people from everywhere. Going to a smoking bar/club/house and it sticks to your clothes, even hair. I pick up on smoke smells from people I know don't smoke, and just ask if they had fun last night!

If you think you were surprised by the smell of the smoking guest though, wait till your sense of taste comes back, flips upside down before it settles in to normal. For me it was a glass of OJ a month or so in. I thought it was rotten, and was dumping the jug before someone stopped me, apparently they had just had a glass and it was fine. Huh? It tasted like blue cheese! A few days later it was toothpaste, strangest thing to have really no idea that you can actually taste the paste behind the mint, blew my mind, still remember the groggy confused look I gave myself in the mirror while I tried to figure out what I was tasting! And now? I like cantelope for the first time in my life. Probably always liked it, it just didn't go well with ashtray mouth!

Congrats. I'm at 2 weeks tomorrow and know exactly what your talking about. My sense of smell is getting better everyday. I sleep a whole lot better and have more energy. It's nice to be smoke free. Never mind all the money I'm saving.

@Keith..Congrats on quiting and now vaping. BIG props for being around smokers and not wanting one.

My cat keeps trying to get into the fog and sniff it. (Menthol is his favorite.)

Be very carful with that, cats are very sensitive to PG.

The many times I tried to quit I quickly noticed the smell. Clinging on newspapers I get delivered, from 2 houses down, to on the freeway… Maybe we become hyper-sensitive to it.

Congrats on quitting and joining the vaping community!!

I noticed the same thing about a month after giving up cigs and going to vaping. I can smell cigarette smoking coming from a distance now, and think, damn I used to smell like that. I love the fact my sense of smell has come back to normal, and that I can take in a deep breath and have it feel refreshing.

Three weeks tomorrow for me as well.

I had the same experience, I was a 1-1.5 PAD smoker for 12 years. I can smell it on people, especially at work now and I hate it. I can barely breathe around them.. to think, that was me. Not sure why, I just cant be around people who are smoking to the point where I can smell it. If there is a wind or something I am fine, but if I smell it I move away. Yuck.

So far I have my sister trying it.. she is kind of in between, my sons mother is trying it but still has the morning cig, and loads of people curious about it at work. Though one person has said my Vamo looks a tad suspicious while I was smoking it on break, the clearo on my vision spinner wasnt performing well and I had no other choice. :x

Cigarettes taste really really bad to me now. But I really enjoy the smell of someone smoking and a freshly open pack, too. Just can't stand the taste anymore. The few time I have smoked since I stopped have taste nasty and made me sick feeling. I don't miss them but don't mind them being smoke a round me at all.

I don't mind the smell of the smoke being blown in my direction(I actually like it) but I can't stand the way a smoker smells after they've smoked. When I quit smoking I had to shave off my beard to get rid of the smoke smell.
